  1. Kevin Newman should certainly fit the bill
  2. Mike Minor, Kevin Newman and Josh Donaldson lol For reference I offered Yoan Moncada straight up
  3. I’ll give you a sixth round pick
  4. That trade is veto able Why is the guy who drafted David Jacob second overall slinging deals like this
  5. Bauer is my favourite player in the MLB
  6. I’d take Kepler easily
  7. The last three starting shortstops for WS winning teams were not elite defensive players. So the point doesn't really hold water. If the argument is that you want to improve defense, sign Simmons or Semien. Trading Gurriel to sign Lindor when he's a FA next year is crazy to me.
  8. Sorry what? Tulo didn't show us anything other than trading for aging shortstops over 30 isn't really a great idea. There is no certainty that Bichette becomes elite at second or third. He might have to move off the position but he's 22 years old. Why not just sign Lindor next year? Is this the only year the Blue Jays can win the World Series?
  9. I have no idea what a Bryant trade looks like. I don't love the idea of trading for a guy looking to bounce back after a brutal season, but currently our 3B situation is terrible.
  10. Agreed with Bichette being the best player on the team. He's played like 80 games in the show - I am fine with giving him another year to improve at the position.
  11. Why would you trade Gurriel to spend 300M on a shortstop when you already have one? Makes zero sense.
  12. I'd rather keep Jansen as well
  13. Can Tommy La Stella play third? After Turner there really aren’t any other good options a team trying to compete would want to roll out. I don’t think Didi/Semien are going to sign as third baseman and Simmons definitely isn’t. Moving Bichette off the position for one of those guys doesn’t excite me at all.
  14. Yes because I am here all day every day
  15. *Pulls out radar gun* 67
  16. Why is it that when Queen acts like a little dweeby Fangraphs writer he always runs away?
  17. The people Fangraphs employ are the sole reason I'll never give them a dime of my own money
  18. Not going to lie, I hate the idea of giving up good prospects for the privilege of paying Lindor $30M a year for the next decade when you could just do it next year if you really wanted to. Maybe he is extended wherever he is traded to - there are still four other top ten shortstops available to sign. I have no problem giving Bichette another year to develop and see if he can stay at the 6, because I guarantee playing that position means something to him. The most obvious position other than SP to address is CF. Springer can play there for a couple of years and then sort it out after that.
  19. Could be him too, I was just trying to rank them by tiers of FA they'll bring in. I don't expect them to hand out two long term deals. Archie Bradley could be any RP too.
  20. Springer Kim Shoemaker/Walker/Wood Archie Bradley This is the type of offseason I'm expecting from the Jays. Things change if they don't get Kim, but I think he is a valuable piece that creates a bunch of depth and won't cost a fortune.
  21. I highly doubt they sign Springer and extend Lindor. It'll be one or the other, not both. I'd prefer Springer at 5/125 than Lindor at 8/240
  22. I think Joey Gallo is playing with fire. So many ways to get burned!
  23. Ya I am. It creates another hole to fill so just weighing options
