  1. What's the upside with the draft room? I don't really remember to be honest If we are messaging guys here anyway after each pick I don't see what is so complicated about posting your pick here, adding the player on Fantrax and then messaging whoever is up next
  2. Part of differentiating the league would be making it less nerdy in my opinion
  3. Agreed. Bad teams become worse because they lose interest and rarely make moves or are even active during the summer. Nobody for contenders to trade with. Increased talent in the waiver wire would increase engagement. More opportunity to add a decent player. I’d consider dropping the RP slots to two too. Then you’d be drafting 10 players each spring to fill out your roster. If you go 5x5 there is no need for holds. This semi redraft would allow teams to compete almost every year.
  4. Breaking news
  5. I certainly do
  6. This. No league is going to expand into Canada ever again. Ontario is extending crowd capacity limits for another month LOL
  7. BORED is fine I think. Yes it is slower in the winter but during the season it feels like there is good engagement. DDL and LOD are obviously okay. Those two leagues will likely stand the test of time. BBDL is like the A+ equivalent where it would make sense to run some rule changes or make some adjustments to see how they work. I don't think it makes sense to merge BBDL or BORED as it would be a logistical nightmare. Cut down to 15 teams Keep 12 players (MLB/MiLB) at the end of the year Have like 5 minor league slots to store green flags Three round MiLB draft 5x5 classic scoring Something along these lines ^^ Completely different league context than the others. Very simple and easy to manage.
  8. The fact he doesn’t give a s*** what others think of him is the reason why people hate him. Why wouldn’t someone who made 42M last year pay a few hundred grand in exchange for an NDA if they were guilty?
  9. Agreed John. It sounds as if he had the opportunity to provide hush money and chose to go public instead. Very interesting if true.
  10. I don’t think the league needs to be blown up but I would support shrinking the league to condense the player pool or turning it into a keeper instead of a dynasty I think you could increase activity by making it smaller
  11. I suggested making changes to the BBDL format last offseason and I still think it’s a good idea. It’s an exact replica of BORED and DDL. Might as well turn it into something else to add some excitement and try and get people interested again.
  12. How old is the “kid” in the second pic
  13. Seems like a great guy. He grinded for a long time gotta respect him for that
  14. Lunchbox is a great reminder that there is no such thing as a can’t miss prospect
  15. Gotta zig when everyone else zags
  16. I guess but I would have to think McCullers is better than whatever is only the wire In a league that shallow where you can pick up prospects I'd be flipping them into big league assets all the time.
  17. Just pick up next summers Volpe via FA and trade for another keeper. Rinse and repeat. If you’re trying to win take the SP. Prospects fail all the time. Fantasy was spoiled with Tatis, Soto and Acuna. Rarely do guys hit the ground running and if they suck are they worthy of a keeper spot?
  18. McCullers
  19. Nah guys are gonna get hurt and in this scenario you have multiple guys who can play different positions Bryant - 1B/3B/OF Biggio - 2B/3B/OF Espinal- 2B/3B/SS/OF Moreno - C/3B Gurriel- OF/1B Ideal
  20. Of course he’s not he’s always had good reviews defensively. His athleticism should allow him to play multiple positions like Varsho in Arizona. My point is he doesn’t have to be a catcher or a third baseman he can play both and that would allow the Jays to keep all three catchers if they wanted to. At maturity if you have a guy who can start 60 games at catcher, 60 in the infield and a handful at DH that’s the kind of player who gives you extreme roster flexibility.
  21. The Blue Jays won't control him when he's 30 so that doesn't really factor into my evaluation. What happens if he can't handle third base? Are they not going to let him catch because he might get a concussion? It's not unrealistic to be skeptical that he will both transition seamlessly to exclusively third and hit the ground running in the bigs with the bat. Going into 2022 with Gabriel Moreno as the plan for 3B is not a good idea and I imagine the team recognizes that as well.
  22. I’m skeptical that Moreno is the long term answer at 3B. Lots of his hype is tied to being an athletic defender behind the plate which makes him easy to dream on defensively. He’s not a Torkelson behind the plate who you move off the position because you know he’s gonna mash right away. I think he’s gotta catch in the majors to maximize his tools. I’d love to see the team use him at C and see how much flexibility they can get with him at 2B/3B and turn him into a super valuable piece who can move around the diamond.
  23. For sure both those guys are great young starters
