    I don’t think a floor really accomplishes anything. All it does is forces teams to pay mediocre veterans more to reach a threshold. The biggest obstacle is getting more money to the guys earning less than 1M/year and not guys who have been through arb and are signing FA deals. Like if Baltimore started the year with Adley, Rodriguez and Hall in the majors they would probably be a better team than signing a couple starters and a s***** catcher to cover the minimum they have to meet.

    I held on to Moncada for so long because I couldn’t come to grips with moving on from him. Big time PTSD. Moved him just before the draft this year for 1-7 (Khalil Watson) and Verlander to supplement my dinosaur rotation of Morton/Verlander/Strasburg/Greinke

    If Vlad sucks at third you have Freeman/Vlad locked into 1B/DH for the life of Freeman’s contract which I think sounds terrible

    Guaranteed. A deal will come together very quickly once we move closer to the end of the month. It is painful to watch from the sidelines but both sides know they can't f*** this up and drag it out. We had a flurry of moves before the lockout, and massive period of zero activity and now we will again have a massive flurry of moves to finish before the season starts. I kinda like it to be honest.
