  1. Willson or William Contreras are available
  2. Danny Jansen >> Ian Happ Keep Jansen and Kirk, sign Wacha, Yarbrough and Conforto, Moreno starts in AAA
  3. Kepler has always been an interesting guy, I wouldn’t hate that. Would prefer a couple of the other guys first but would lump him with Pollock and Profar for sure.
  4. Brantley Conforto Benintendi Pollock Profar I would be interested in all of these guys to varying degrees.
  5. The only person you should trust here is BTS
  6. Learn to read
  7. It’s important to acknowledge how those seasons went lol
  8. That would be exciting and make them immediate World Series contenders but would handicap a lot of other moves. Idk I’ve always been a little risk averse. Leave some wiggle room in case of emergency.
  9. Exactly. They’re just really really good at development. Same as the Rays, Cards, Braves, Astros That’s the model to replicate, not spend spend spend
  10. Rogers is always going to operate with constraints. This isn’t Mike Illitch’s Tigers or Steve Cohen’s Mets Like lots of others have said the only FA contract I even would’ve wanted is Verlander’s Like the Boston Red Sox have twice dumped superstar players in order to get out from bad contracts
  11. I don’t think willingness to sit on dead money at the end of a deal is a sign of supporting a team I think it’s more likely that Preller and Dombroski know they won’t be there forever and those contracts will be someone else’s problem.
  12. Ya good point, two and three years of control vs FA next year. Lose a draft pick Teo would’ve brought back. Raising the floor of the team. I get how people get frustrated watching them make small moves like this, but it’s better than tying yourself to some of these albatross contracts.
  13. Probably a push in terms of WAR More well rounded than they were before Astros win with Chas McCormick and Maldonado so anything is possible
  14. Pivoted from Belli to KK File this one under “run prevention”
  15. It’s just hard to wrap your head around a 24M extension for Kevin Pillar I was hoping there would be a corner outfielder to pair with him if this move was made. Conforto or Brantley would be nice. Not sure that happens now but we’ll see Salaries are nuts right now. Not a fan but it is what it is
  16. True that’s a pretty good rate
  17. His dad actually
  18. Holy s*** 2/24 for KK? Brutal Not a fan
  19. That’s awesome. All of those players deserve some compensation for being some of the most valuable pieces in the game. How do the award the dollar figure does anyone remember?
  20. If they can’t bring in a CF they could pivot to Brantley. Doesn’t help the OF defence but a steady LH bat with good OBP is better than nothing
  21. You should be willing to trade anyone if the deal is good. But who are you fooling into giving you something worthwhile for Chris Taylor lite? There are dumb teams but they’re typically already filled with .390 slug versatile infielders
  22. I think Kikuchi is locked into #5, White is the de facto #6 and they’ll bring in one starter to fill out the rotation
  23. Bonkers
