I agree with you. Really doesn’t matter who because they’re all old and low upside. The appeal is pushing the rest of the guys down on the depth chart I don’t think they’ll add but it would be nice in a perfect world.

Carlos makes a good point that there really aren’t any signs we can point to that would indicate future success for either of them. Neither of them were good in 2022. You hope that the staff can fix them but if they can’t they’re hardly depth, they’re just cannon fodder.

I think we just saw peak Brandon Drury, but should remain a good enough player to remain useful. His versatility is a real asset. I’d call this a great signing by the Angels.

Yes he is. I’ve heard guys put Shane McClanahan comps on him. If he’s healthy and producing there’s no way he shouldn’t be in the big leagues this year. This is going to be a big year for prospects in the Jays system. A couple guys like Tiedemann, Barger, Horowitz, Zulueta, all of a sudden breaking out and looking like a legit 26 man piece would help the long term outlook. The team is getting expensive.

Why not look at 2021 as well? 1 WAR to 2 WAR is 100% upgrade 3.5 to 4.5 is a 22% upgrade It is a slight upgrade, yes 10M value blah blah. It’s not worth spending 350M over 13 seasons
