  1. I don’t think they will, but I’d love to bring in one more legit starter. Someone who has actually done it before. Kluber, Wacha, Miley, Greinke, Cueto
  2. Fun with statistics - using a sample size that omits his best season ever
  3. You speak in absolutes way too often For all we know their “proprietary systems” think Kikuchi is trash now. Carlos makes a good point that there really aren’t any signs we can point to that would indicate future success for either of them. Neither of them were good in 2022. You hope that the staff can fix them but if they can’t they’re hardly depth, they’re just cannon fodder.
  4. Ownership didn’t want a massive contract on the books. I’m shocked
  5. Well he would cost Moreno or Kirk so I’d be hesitant to call it a coup
  6. Lmao wow
  7. I think we just saw peak Brandon Drury, but should remain a good enough player to remain useful. His versatility is a real asset. I’d call this a great signing by the Angels.
  8. Yes he is. I’ve heard guys put Shane McClanahan comps on him. If he’s healthy and producing there’s no way he shouldn’t be in the big leagues this year. This is going to be a big year for prospects in the Jays system. A couple guys like Tiedemann, Barger, Horowitz, Zulueta, all of a sudden breaking out and looking like a legit 26 man piece would help the long term outlook. The team is getting expensive.
  9. Kevin should sit against tough lefties in this scenario. Problem solved
  10. All these Red Sox settling down in SoCal
  11. Why not look at 2021 as well? 1 WAR to 2 WAR is 100% upgrade 3.5 to 4.5 is a 22% upgrade It is a slight upgrade, yes 10M value blah blah. It’s not worth spending 350M over 13 seasons
  12. Next years 3B FA pool Machado Devers Chapman Donaldson Wendle Turner E. Escobar If Barger doesn’t turn into the 2024 third baseman they’re gonna have to spend more money filling that hole. Can’t keep spending spending spending forever.
  13. Probably is and giving him more than three years feels gross IMO. He’ll be 30 this year so a three year deal doesn’t really make sense for him. Either one year extension with big AAV or 4/5 year extension lower AAV He’s probably a player you’d love to have for the next 3 years, but his bat is suspect and could fall off a cliff at any time.
  14. He’s been worth 1 full win over the last two years more than Chapman. Not a whole bunch.
  15. No kidding, I would as well. Not sure what a Chapman extension would look like in today’s market. 3/60M ?
  16. lol sure I’ll give you a 6th round pick
  17. Exactly to both of these. Lourdes is the 4th OF because he’s the 4th best. If you need a CF replacement Springer moves over.
  18. It sure would be. If that happened I think one of Biggio/Espinal/Whit would have to be moved
  19. Lourdes should not be guaranteed at bats if they sign Conforto. He essentially becomes the 4th OF. Plant Michael in LF and tell pineapple man to grab some pine.
  20. Devers is going to be looking at a Correa contract so probably not.
  21. What’s on everyone’s wish list? Mine is SP and RP
  22. All aboard the Wade Miley train
  23. Cope harder my guy
  24. Apparently not worried about growth and diversity being a strength anymore
