  1. Culture shift this offseason, looks like the FO saw the same flaws as some of us did. More business will actually lead to more fun on the bench so everyone will have their cups filled.
  2. For sure you make that deal if you’re the Rockies. That’s why I find it hard to believe that’s the asking price. Surely Miami could get a better player than Brendan Rodgers on his own for Cabrera. I don’t think Espinal gets you Cabrera either. I don’t even think you get a call back if that’s the offer.
  3. Rodgers for Cabrera? Jeez
  4. Colorado is so bad. What would they even do with two years of Lopez? They don’t know their heads from their ass, trade Rodgers for some sort of mini prospect return if you don’t want him I’d rather keep Barger at this point. He’s on the cusp of the big leagues and could see his value sky rocket if he hits the way he did last year. Idk they need a couple cheap guys to emerge if they want to keep the competitive window open past the next couple years
  5. There’s no way the Marlins value Biggio or Espinal in the same realm as Rodgers or Torres. If it’s MIF help they’re after maybe Barger + would interest them but the plus would be sort of big
  6. Rays should’ve signed Josh Bell
  7. I do too. Obviously there are days guys just aren’t feeling “it” and having the ability to drop one down and then steal second adds another layer to his game. Huge fan.
  8. Both the Rangers and Angels look significantly better than last year. Unfortunately for them they will be battling each other for third place in the division
  9. Well they’re not going to rely on him and he won’t be coming straight from surgery.
  10. Merrifield was good in Toronto once he came, hopefully playing for a contender instead of KC can help him maintain that level of play. .281/.323/.446 for a wRC+ of 119 in 130 PA’s. Pretty good guy to have in the bottom third of your lineup.
  11. Nah you’re allowed to have that opinion For me I think the worry about the offence is overblown. Yes they lost Teo but Varsho helps lessen the sting. He brings a little balance to the lineup and a power/speed combo. It could conceivably be a top 5 lineup with drastically improved defence and base running. A couple chances in guys like Horowitz or Barger who both project to be above average turning into guys who can help. If they need to add at the deadline it’s probably a RH outfielder which there is almost never a shortage of. I would feel confident starting the year with the position player group as is.
  12. There’s no reason the Jays can’t add a rental impact bat at the deadline. The offence is fine to begin the year.
  13. You try so hard but it just doesn’t work. The effort is there like the kid in gym class who always gets picked last and tries really hard but smells like s***.
  14. I don’t think it’s clear that they believe that at all. The bar isn’t very high at catcher in terms of quality starter.
  15. Bo is a professional.
  16. I, too, used to be an insufferable douchebag around here sometimes. Now it’s your turn.
  17. I’d imagine that would sting a little if you did read it. Best to just stay off of social media if/when you get traded I’d think.
  18. Extend the man. 4/40M buying out his next two years of arb. Two years of free agency for 20M. Dan’s a team guy let’s get it done
  19. The player he voted for is in italics
  20. He reminds me of LeBron. Past his expiration date and crying when things don’t go his way
  21. You’re probably right, any $$ remaining probably go towards pitching
