  1. This is the jist of it yes. Very basic and elementary and simple for the team to monitor.
  2. You didn’t have to trade him Hitters > pitchers
  3. A) I wouldn’t recommend athletes living on salad the professional baseball organization should be sophisticated enough to send him home with step by step instructions for the offseason and check in bi weekly to ensure adherence. It’s really not that difficult
  4. So the Jays are unhappy with Barriera’s weight, but aren’t they giving him exactly what they want him to do in the offseason? If so it’s their responsibility to keep tabs on him during the offseason. If not it’s their fault he’s fat. I mean he’s their first round pick ffs he’s not an 18th rounder that showed up fat
  5. Jeeeez that’s not smart
  6. I’ll give them this offseason to make the change. The three fatties all had varying degrees of success up until this point. Then they all bottomed out. Let’s see if they can find the common denominator
  7. I’m sure the “factory” has all the hardware necessary but I do question the people in charge of the R&D side of it. No idea who that is or what their label is, but we should be closer to the top in terms of developing players with the investments made and the focus put on it.
  8. 1: I bet they settle around 20M for next year. Jays won’t want bad blood if they decide to talk extension or in FA. Vlad’s camp will try and get out of the teens and into the 20’s heading into this last arb year in ‘24. 2: 30%. 60% chance he’s much better, 10% he’s worse. 3: 0%
  9. Shiny to us as in upgrading the rusty old bike to the Canadian Tire special just in time for summer vacation
  10. Bring back Dante Bichette
  11. Agreed. I’m tired of watching him gasp for air on the mound getting shelled. We’re pretty much guaranteed to get a shiny new toy and I can’t wait to see who it is!
  12. I don’t know. I tried to find Stuff+ one time on Fangraphs and all I could find was the leaderboard which didn’t help me
  13. Okay just for shits and giggles what’s your next step if the Detroit start location+ numbers were bad too?
  14. The data “probably” looking good and the data looking good are two different things my guy
  15. Hopefully this is what happens Ryu activated Manoah optioned Green activated White DFA’d SP acquired Jay Jackson optioned Kikuchi to the pen
  16. Ya I guess this is why I just looked at the 40 man. It’s either Alek or Jesus Christ himself Mitch White
  17. So we’re relying on the eye test now to evaluate pitchers? I’m so confused
  18. The front office didn’t need to see him in the majors. They have all the spin rate and data they need to make the decision. They’re simply too chicken s*** to sit Manoah down and tell him he’s going down and that he needs to lose 50 pounds That’s my guess anyway. You guys really think the data from getting nuked by 17 year olds was positive?
  19. You can cry over split milk or keep moving forward and make the best decisions possible for the current roster. A failed trade doesn’t mean you don’t make another one Ryu is a massive question mark. Manoah shouldn’t be in the bigs. They hold the second WC spot and have four starters. Something has to give
  20. Huh? You proceed like he is injured. He shouldn’t make another start this season Gausman Berrios Bassitt Kikuchi Ryu on the way That means they need to add an SP
  21. They should proceed from here on out like Alek Manoah doesn’t even exist. He should not factor in to a single decision for the remainder of 2023
  22. So dumb. He should’ve had the surgery at the start of the year. Why even mess around with a guy with zero service time? Get the surgery and lick your wounds. TJS has like a 97% success rate - there’s really no risk just the time aspect
