  1. Somehow I've avoided any really ugly trades. Fowler for Pearce was bad in hindsight, but I don't GAF about Fowler. Bauer for Olt was terribad, but ditto. Bauer hasn't been good enough to really miss. Still a couple that could come back to get me. I package Stroman with Tapia and Renfroe, so that will take a couple years to play out. Also the Souza deal - he has been fringy and Pompey is still very much alive.
  2. 9.30 K/9 2.88 BB/9 3.61 FIP .... 5.53 ERA He's the new Hutch! Except Hutch is still Hutch... so he's another Hutch!
  3. Looks like I got out in front of the #closerrush Re: Capps, asked Gibbers about him a couple of weeks ago and it didn't seem like he had any interest in trading him
  4. I wonder if Pomeranz has a chance to close in OAK. That would give me the glorious 3/3 reliever mix, maybe.
  5. Excuse me, but 5/6 of by bullpen are trade acquisitions.
  6. The Giants win though. I'm the intimidatingly intelligent team that ends up losing. Tampa or Oak
  7. By last chance you must mean someone other than last chance, because you'll be dropping him soon.
  8. Interesting asset. He could work on a contender as a late week SB play. Or, start him all week if you have a great offense that can carry him, because Hamilton alone gives you like an ~85% chance to win SB.
  9. Wilmer Difo eminently available for a decent draft pick. Looking to clear my NA slot. A rebuilder should want him - he's a MIF that went 14/49 last year, made BP's midseason fantasy top 50 this year, was an HM on their real life midseason top 50.
  10. I never thought that Williams would be enough but wow, has he ever cut down that K rate. You hardly ever see a prospect actually do that.
  11. I know it too! TCA told me he preferred yours but I wet blanketed your prospect and he changed his mind.
  12. Harvey, boxy's 3rd, 2nd waiver for Kuma and two throw in picks
  13. cuz the internet went down mid fap session
  14. NL executive: "angrioter f***s male goats in the butt, I seen him do it"
  15. source: angrioter is a tool
  16. lol, Norris & Hoffman & Alford & Pompey &/or Castro?
  17. Yeah, they could really use a promising young CF to supplant Bourn. They don't really have anything on the horizon. With Pillar emerging as a useful player and Alford breaking out, Pompey could probably be the 1A or 1B in a Carrasco deal. IIRC, Zimmer and Frazier profile in the corners and Naquin suxxxxxx
  18. Rumours flying around the twitter today that Toronto is pursuing Carrasco and the Indians are listening. What would it take, DDL minds? What would you pay? 2.81 FIP projected 3.02 FIP / 3.41 ERA Contract: 2015: $2.3M, 2016: $4.5M, 2017: $6.5M, 2018: $8M 2019 Team Option: $9M Can be escalated by up to $4,000,000 depending on Cy Young finish 2020 Team Option: $9.5M ($0.7M buyout) Can be escalated by up to $4,000,000 depending on Cy Young finish
  19. Probably explains why he very quickly fell down the college football totem pole, from QB to RB to Corner to Safety to Kicker and then to armed campus thug. Luckily for the Blue Jays he avoided raping anybody.
  20. I understand why you would be hesitant to trade him for a couple of those names, I guess. But if you value him that highly then nobody will give you what you want for him. He just needs to do this for a bit longer to establish substantial value.
