The Nationals are bumping Fister to the pen to make room for Joe Ross. BTS now has like 5 SP, because Cody Anderson doesn't count. This is what he gets for slagging on Ross so much.

Yes, the #1 concern with the team ROS is probably the SP depth. There's just nothing there after the top 5, aside from a couple of geezers in Buffalo and the slim hope that Stroman can come back and start at some point. The next 5 on the depth chart are all names that belong outside the top 8 on any normal good team's depth chart. Wolf, Francis, Jenkins, Copeland, Bibens-Dirkx, Taylor Cole... -
The idea that a little setup tweak like that could somehow lead to Goins becoming "an asset similar to Kevin Pillar" is absurd.

Luis Severino looks pretty filthy. FeatherD should probably call him up to help cement his playoff position.

His MiLB peripherals were very mediocre though, for a prospect. I don't know if 39 MLB innings is enough for me to move my needle on him. Projections think that he's a league average starter, but with a K/9 that starts with a 6, rather than a 9. IMO his value isn't substantially different from that of, say, Nate Karns.

Just stretch him out in the big leagues. Have him piggy back with Hutch for a couple or starts - he'd be replacing Hutch anyway, in all likelihood

Boxy, I'll trade for Crawford in the offseason. Just don't need him right now with Zobrist plugging the hole.

It's not just a slow start. Through 440 PA this year his PD stats are much worse than his career. He's played league a league average 2B through a pretty large sample size.

BTS is pretty weak in the trade department. He publicly shops players forever, or shops for specific kinds of held for extended periods of time, before finally begrudgingly accepting a trade. He needs to be decisive and quiet, like me. I don't think I've lost a trade in this league!

I would be disappointed. Dickey has been throwing really well lately with Martin behind the plate. Gibby also seems to feel a need to DH Navarro when they carry 3 catchers.

One of the hits was a dinger. Saber wisdom says that unless your starter is a well above average guy, you're probably better off letting a middle reliever face the order the 3rd time through. TB seems to be adhering to this when guys like Erasmo and Karns start. If Kevin Cash was dogmatic, he would have yanked Karns before he had a chance to give up that homer to Abreu.

wow. I thought your reign of PR terror would last longer. I don't really understand how your roster is 4th though. Seems to good to not be elite. I guess the top 4 ZTOTALs are all pretty close. How is old man Aramis swinging it?
