Schoop is basically Gyorko, except with a full time job. I think you should maybe hold. Schoop sucks but he's young and the ISO is real. He's probably an adjustment away from being something worthwhile. Or not. I dunno. It probably doesn't matter.

If you think that the rules in the DDL are slowly getting less democratic+forgiving and the league is becoming more of draconian dictatorship - you're correct! Good observation.

Can't be the exact cutdown moment because some people simply email me cuts right before the deadline and I don't process them until the next day. Has to be 24 hours. There should also be an allowance for a commissioner to plop them on waivers if it seems like a more fair way to distribute the particular player.

I guess nobody has ever really picked at that nuance but to be clear: - Free agent prospects cannot be added to your MLB team unless they played AA last year, or get called up IRL. - Owned prospects cannot be promoted until they've played in AA (this can happen in the current year).

Why would Toronto be inclined to offer him what he could get on the open market? They can do that after the season. That's the worst case Ontario. Negotiating extensions with players is all about trying to get a team friendly deal. There's not really much sense in offering free agent term / money before they even reach free agency, unless you're dealing with a generational talent and you can't even justify the risk of letting them experience free agency.

Is there a point where you have to admit that Arrieta is better than Kershaw? 1.66 ERA since 2015 began. Does he have contact manipulation skills that make him leapfrog Kershaw's DIPS superiority, or is it just an extended run of luck, on top of being uber elite? Honestly not trying to pump my own tires. I think its legitimately interesting.
