  1. Yeah there are scattered Jew camps and bagel shops downtown.
  2. Well you need to establish a hype train in advance. You can't just pull a Michael Taylor out of your butt and expect people to bite. It didn't work out, but see what Dinger tried to do with Michael Lorenzen as a reference.
  3. KK was my boy for a brief period. He traded me Urias, Joaquin Benoit for nothing, and then Souza for spare parts, all that offseason. Then during the season he almost traded me Mookie Betts - it was so close that it hurts to think about. Now he'll barely talk to me though. I think it's over.
  4. It was separate trades: Dan Norris for Urias Urias to Hurl for Glasnow and Carlos Santana Glasnow for Turner Santana for Longoria
  5. Greinke turning 32 got way overpaid by a desperate team and it resulted in a 6 year deal. It's hard to fathom Bautista getting what he wants. It's possible some desperate team next offseason would throw 5 years and a lot of money at him though.
  6. I must be severely risk-averse compared to you two. I went through my complete ~70 trade history and there are arguably no big losses. I just make a lot of boring, pretty fair trades, winning the odd one. Worst two are probably Trevor Bauer for Mike Olt, and the Dickerson-Scherzer deal which basically swung on Dickerson getting traded so soon but could also salvage itself if Scherzer's arm explodes. Julio Urias could make me regret ever moving him I guess but at this point the Longoria + Trea Turner return looks at least fair. Slim chance but I suppose Stroman and Tapia could make me regretful if Votto all of a sudden declines.
  7. Most of the ones you mention here aren't even terrible. - Kazmir for pick #88 (May 2013) - Giolito + Yordano for Shields - Pineda + Heaney for Beachy and Rasmus - Sonny for Desmond? - Choo for Price was bad, you're right. You thought Luis Heredia was good for some reason. - Gardner for pick #63 - Dee for Garza - Shields for Cliff Lee in July 2014. Did Cliff ever pitch for you?
  8. Well apparently he traded Corey Seager for Jay Bruce before 2014, so there's that. - Franco and Swihart for Austin Jackson in 2014 - 1st rounder for Balfour lol - Liriano for Andrus - Jaime for pick #39 - Romo + Heston for.. Nick Kingham? - A.Rod for waiver #43 But that's over 80 trades. So his success + push rate is around 90%
  9. I think we need to do a new league with player salaries, at some point. Could use real life salaries and set each team's cap somewhere near the MLB average payroll. It would add another layer of complexity but would also make it all the more interesting. I think it would benefit different fantasy skill sets too. Owners that are good at consolidating assets into star players would be worse off and owners that are good at drafting and evaluating prospects / young players would be better off. The league would probably deeper farm systems than the DDL. Maybe next year.
  10. 31) Byron Buxton, OF, MIN 32) Addison Russell, SS, CHC 33) Charlie Blackmon, OF, COL 34) Dee Gordon, 2B, FLA jesus christ
  11. It's just a sore back / back strain. Not a big deal.
  12. Believe me, I tried. Nobody likes him. And nobody wants Shawn/Steve Tolleson. He's a poof; a mediocre reliever that won't keep the job for longer than a couple of months.
  13. Davis keeping OF eligibility for another year would be swell
  14. So Trumbo is going to be in the OF a lot I guess? That's awesome.
  15. I don't understand what BP is trying to do with these regional sites. All they did for BP Toronto is get the try-hard kids that did Blue Jays Plus to come over and do it. It thins the BP brand. None of them really have much to offer - Blue Jays Plus never did anything interesting. I don't think the people are good with statistics, or even particularly good at writing (I could be wrong though because I never really went there. Maybe they improved). AND the BP Toronto website looks pretty bad. Blue Jays Plus looked better, FWIW.
  16. Essentially the reason I don't ignore you, friend.
  17. common sense
  18. I like how Bret Sayre is so good that he can just look at some pitch grades and decide that Conner Greene will have "stronger ratios than strikeouts". lolamn dkalsnfr
  19. Click his name then click view profile and add to ignore list. Most people block King. He's harmless but mentally retarded and just annoying.
  20. 2. Conner Greene, RHP DOB: 4/4/1995 Height/Weight: 6’3” 165 lbs Bats/Throws: R/R Drafted/Acquired: Drafted in the 7th round of the 2013 draft, Santa Monica HS (Santa Monica, CA); signed for for $100,000 Previous Ranking(s): NR 2015 Stats: 3.54 ERA, 132.1 IP, 136 H, 39 BB, and 115 K for Single-A Lansing, High-A Dunedin, and Double-A New Hampshire Future Tools: 65 fastball, 55 changeup, 50 curveball, 50 command Role: 55—Mid-rotation starter Anthony Alford isn’t the only guy in the upper echelon of Toronto’s system with exceptional non-baseball talent. Meet Conner Greene: right handed starter/model/actor—a guy who’s literally capable of selling jeans. We’ll spare you the full-on Parks-ian description of Greene’s physique and facial features but let’s just say he has “the good face.” The ultra-projectable Greene possesses comically long limbs but is nonetheless able to coordinate his actions effectively. At 6-foot-3, with a high-three-quarters slot, Greene works downhill and creates excellent plane. He sits 92-94 with sinking action and can dial it up as high as 97-98 when he needs the extra velo in a pinch. His straight change flashes plus thanks to replicated arm speed. The curveball is below average at the moment and is more of a tumbler than a pitch with a deep, abrupt breaking point. He’d likely benefit from letting loose and throwing it harder, which would yield less of a pronounced arc but more in terms of tight, sharp bite. He’s around the zone now, but expect the finer points of his command profile to solidify as he matures physically, and adds weight, strength, and increased coordination. Greene got a five-start taste of Double-A toward the tail end of 2015 and should open the 2016 season back there. With some rotation depth to work with, the Jays will take their time with Greene, who will have just turned 21 on Opening Day. If all goes according to plan in New Hampshire, Greene’s contribution window in Toronto, like Alford’s, could come as early as the 2017 season. Bret Sayre’s Fantasy Take: Greene saw his stock rise up in dynasty leagues quite a bit thanks to a very strong full-season debut, and he’s certainly worked his way up to being a top-150 fantasy prospect—while garnering some consideration for the very back of the fantasy 101. There’s SP3 potential here, with stronger ratios than strikeouts, but enough of the latter to get by. Major league ETA: 2017
  21. Yeah for a guy throwing 96(ish), that thing needs to be in the 80s. 86-88 would be about right. He probably has long fingers so you think he could find some kind of changeup / palm / split grip that would work for him.
