  1. Let's get our final rankings from each league before people start electing which one they'll represent.
  2. Gibbons probably isn't even in the loop. They might platoon at first to go easy on Steve but in 3 weeks it'll be obvious that Pearce needs to play every day.
  3. Stay authentic in a world of fakes - Marcus Stroman Extra long t-shirts make you look even shorter - NJH
  4. Steve Pearce is probably the 1B right now though
  5. Guys this signing is two things... 1) Good 2) Indicative of very good process Cheers
  6. It's on BP... I think in his call-up scouting report. Also, look at his dumb f***ing batting stance, the fact that the Rox are already weaning him off CF, and his 71 caught stealings in the minors, to only 120 successful excursions.
  7. Really nice collection. Weaver and Tapia are both high upside, high bust potential. Kind of weird prospects. Tapia might be 70 hit, plus run, in Coors... but it sounds like he's one of the dumbest players in organized baseball and will be a 40 raw LF with the baseball IQ of a muskrat. Weaver has nice numbers but apparently he has only two pitches and durability concerns. Bullpen, DL, or SP3?
  8. This might have affected his vote totals. But he's a grown man. If he doesn't have time he'll refuse the nomination. This is why we have substitutes listed.
  9. Yeah I could absolutely see Barry being a sports guy on some morning show and f***ing killing it. He reminds me of Frank Ferragine (Breakfast Television).
  10. In that case, I evaluate this trade as Dansby Swanson being dealt for the cumulative equivalent of 1.4 Dansby Swansons.
  11. Is frenchsoup #1 MiLB pick the #1 overall pick?
  12. I thought he was adequate so I won't rejoice at him leaving or anything, but the players clearly didn't love him and he had very little rapport with them. I guess he was kind of an annoying personality but it honestly seemed like he was being almost bullied at certain points
  13. That's a harder sell. Pompey had an accelerated 2014 but he produced at every minor league level and even looked like he belonged in the big leagues in limited action. His struggles up in the show and his AAA struggles in 2016 are his own fault. AA did maybe f*** up his utility for the organization though... this is his last option year and if his end development is where he is right now (OF4/OF5) then not having options is an issue.
  14. Wow! Kershaw auction!
  15. Maybe some people assumed he would get in and wanted to give a vote to someone else? Might have happened with you too.
  16. Here are the final results: http://i.imgur.com/PIoGcz2.png Obviously there are some Hall of Fame ballot level mistakes here, but in general I think the process worked. Myself being a unanimous selection probably has a lot to do with me doing the leg work on this new league. Objectively, I was a bubble candidate. I didn't deserve to be in the top 3, let alone get full support. Silvergun and Dinger were locks through regular season dominance and back to back titles for SVG. Feather D joins SVG and DD as the only three owners with a win rate of 60% or more. Add in a title and four playoff appearances, and he has objectively been a top 3 team. I'm glad he got nominated. North has a title but also missed the playoffs, and his total win% is lower than mine or min's. He's also been busy lately. Min has four playoff appearances and a Prime Minister's trophy, but his total win% is lower than mine and maybe more importantly I post more and he has activity concerns stemming from other leagues. With a 55% win rate and 3 playoff appearances, jaysblue was properly ranked. Havok's vote is probably from his recent playoff appearance. BTS is an over .500 team with two playoff appearances and a division title. Recognition warranted. Boxy's single vote is the ultimate participation ribbon, and a nod to how much we appreciate him trucking along. I'm not sure why you got a vote. That's hard to reconcile.
  17. The four Big League nominees from the DDL are Silvergun, Dinger, FTD, and myself. There was a tie for 5th place between therealmin and North. If we need one substitute the DDL will ask North first, because he has a DDL title. Jaysblue is the 3rd substitute and was the only other team to receive multiple votes.
  18. I trust you. That's it then. Results soon...
  19. Jonah Keri podcast - any of his baseball guests. 2080 is doing organizational reviews in podcast form. A bit long and slow but if you are a prospect-o-phile they are good.
  20. Speedy just voted. A lot hinges on min's vote. 7, 6, and 6 are the vote counts for the three bubble owners.
