  1. he's good - plus hit, plus power, 50 defender up the middle.
  2. Dillon Overton
  3. Yeah their rotation is an asset, kind of. It's weird but true.
  4. That's a ton of f***ing money for a guy in Holland's scenario
  5. I'm not as high on Travis as others, anymore. At least not as high as I was a year ago. I think he's an average 2B.
  6. In a nutshell, yes. In the Blue Jays context, probably not.
  7. He will not be on an innings limit. He's 29 and has 86 big league starts - those guys don't typically get limited coming off TJ. Tampa only controls him for 2017 anyway so they won't give a f*** about his arm.
  8. I would flip him with Rosario too. That might be prospect fatigue. But aside from that I'm not surprised. He was young, but a .688 OPS is still a turn off. Dansby and Gleyber have a lot more shimmer.
  9. Cobb's spot to lose. He's such an incumbent.
  10. Boxy, but he just picked him up off waivers at the end of 2015. I doubt he kept him over anyone valuable.
  11. I'm considering trading Sean Manaea. If I can turn him into two MiLB assets that I really like, then I'll pull the trigger.
  12. ZiPS has absolutely no utility. Perhaps worse - negative utility? It is trash. So bad that it is essentially misinformation.
  13. I like Wright more than Kazmir I think
  14. You're right about Fangraphs. Longenhagen seems great. Five pillars. BP is still a staple. Their scouts are very good, even if you haven't learned their names yet. They get the benefit of the doubt as a scout factory until they start to fail. Their Eyewitness Reports in particular are great. I don't value their rankings very much at all. Love the player pages though and minor league game notes.
  15. 2080 is doing 1-2 hour podcasts and discussing like, 15-20 prospects from each system in depth. It's pretty good content.
  16. Keith Law's list and prospect opinions are always good for a laugh, but definitely not worth any money. The four pillars are now BP, BA, MLB.com, and 2080.
  17. The funny thing about "avoiding questions" is that Shatkins reveal more information in every radio hit than AA did his entire tenure. The State of the French Fries was just filled with hollow, meaningless answers from AA and shallow, meaningless, placating promises from Beeston.
  18. Yes. - Great value for Tampa. - Not bad for LA considering context. - LA might have informed reservations or concerns about De Leon. - Tampa has so much pitching depth this year! Wow! And a very strong top end. That's pretty much it.
  19. I'll take your word for it I guess
  20. Minor league signings are always good!
  21. Dinger is an Alpha Top in fantasy trade negotiations
  22. Well it is a 7x7 that uses both Hits and Average as scoring categories.
  23. Just to put a nail in it, the compensation will be pick 40b. I don't think there is really a functional difference between 40b and 20b and I was of the opinion that compensation was not within the spirit of the rule, so my inclination will decide which way the pick falls. What we've done here, essentially, is a set a two-tiered precedent. In the future we will probably apply this as follows: A) When any objective keeper quality player dies, the owner will get 40b. When an exceptional or very valuable dynasty asset dies, the owner will get subjective compensation based on our previous rule. Will A) apply to a player who is, say, 31 years old? Only the future caselaw will tell us. How will we decide whether a gray area player falls within category A) or category ? Again, only the future caselaw will tell us. I eagerly look forward to adjudicating this complex, evolving area of Baseball Dynasty law. 24. It typically just depends on when I and other admins have time, since there is some manual work with roster input.
  25. I think we normally do cutdown deadline for a Sunday night, second or third week of Feb. Waiver draft starts like 24-48 hours after that deadline.
