  1. Not sure why everyone still loves Sano... he's just CCC
  2. Machado - Diaz gap is huge. 30/100/90/.355 vs. 15/70/60/.340 Scherzer - Richards gap is huge in the other direction. Scherzer already has a finger thing (+ is a pitcher), Richards probably doesn't last the year, Diaz is risky and a big regression candidate. Machado is the only "safe" piece. I'd just keep him. Either side is fair though IMO.

I saw a video a few years ago of Alex Kovalev doing this in practice and I thought it was fake. It's so hard to raise the puck like this - you need the forearms of a Paul Bunyan.
  4. It's kind of like how every time you post something my penis retracts into itself and I throw up a little bit
  5. Great, good to know. Moving on. Can we get a current Blue Jays WAG power ranking?
  6. WAGs thread - go I don't actually think Mrs. Bryant is ugly. I do think she is basic. I've seen her called ugly on the internet. can we talk about what happened to Jennifer Cecil?
  7. Everything about this organization just tickles me Blue these days.
  8. This is great. Gibbons might be my favourite personality on the Blue Jays. Certainly top 5. I don't really care if he's a good tactician, as long as he's not a bad one. I've come around pretty hard to the idea of a "clubhouse manager" being very important.
  9. Kris Bryant married an ugly girl. What can we read into that? Schwarber looks like a frat guy.
  10. John Lackey even looks like a d-bag
  11. That's true. He needs to continue to work hard to escape has natural inclination to play football, just like our own Anthony Alford. It will never come easy for Tim.
  12. Projected for 1.9 fWAR, even after posting garbage K and BB rates in his 100 game debut. Projected for a paltry 82 wRC+ and should still easily be worth that contract. He also, of course, has Jean Segura or Jonathan Villar type "surprise, I don't suck!!!" upside because he's black and a racially/genetically gifted fast-twitch track star athlete.
  13. How about in extra innings - it becomes 3 pitch. Pitch to your own team, underhand. Each squad gets to send five hitters to the plate, then the inning is over (unless 3 outs comes first). There. Done. Sliding is generally frowned upon. Metal bats become legal.
  14. lol I'd rather have ties than this rule in MLB
  15. Each team gets three hitters. Most total bases wins the game.
  16. Is there a base-state with a similar RE, more conducive to entertainment? http://www.tangotiger.net/re24.html Why not bases loaded, 1 out? Or man on 3rd, no outs? The 10th inning might as well kick things off with 0 outs, man on first. Double the run expectancy in the 10th.
  17. bunts and intentional walks don't feel like action
  18. Okay, the rule is garbage. But everyone can agree that in spring training the games need to end really quickly in extras. What would a better rule be? What base states would be better? Should they manipulate the ball-strike count instead, or in addition?
  19. Their 2009 system did not produce a lot of talent. Here are the other prospect options IMO: Domingo Santana, Antonio Bastardo, Trevor May, Freddy Galvis, Jake Diekman, Aaron Altherr, Cesar Hernandez Jon Villar
  20. Yeah Beltre is coming back from something. He almost didn't participate.
  21. Donaldson burns college coach for criticism When video circulated of Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson hitting a spring training home run and casually walking to the dugout, not all were impressed. Sean Allen, an assistant baseball coach at the University of Texas, decided to take to Twitter to chide the former MVP for his lack of hustle, Mike Axisa of CBS Sports reports. "This might be the worst video I have ever seen. So much disrespect to the game of baseball. Baseball gods will handle this," Allen said in a since-deleted Tweet. He was apparently unaware that Donaldson has not yet been cleared to run the bases. "(N)ot allowed to run right now Sean. Please only condemn your players to the Baseball Gods. I bet you love to give the bunt sign," Donaldson replied. For his part, Allen retracted his statement to Donaldson, saying, "glad to hear this. I stand corrected and apologize." Not a fan of small ball tactics, Donaldson will look to bring his home run prowess to big league camp during the weekend's games. He is still expected to be available for opening day.
  22. Team USA lineup: Kinsler 2B, Jones CF, Yelich LF, Arenado 3B, Hosmer 1B, McCutchen RF, Crawford SS, Stanton DH, Lucroy C; Duffy SP #2017WBC Hosmer over Goldschmidt in an elimination game!!!
