  1. NJH recommends this: http://www.masnsports.com/nationals-pastime/2017/05/one-month-later-guthrie-still-coping-with-career-ending-start.html
  2. Is this supposed to be a non-sequitur? Trade me your good players.
  3. Our rule is actually worded: "Unowned prospects that did not hit AA or higher in the previous year cannot be added to MLB rosters on Yahoo, even if they hit AA, unless they are called up to the big leagues. If such players are called up in real life, then they can be added in Yahoo as soon as their MLB parent club adds them to their 25 man roster..." I don't think official transactions are time-stamped, but they are date-stamped on the team websites. So I guess as soon as the news is official the free-for-all can start. I don't think it matters with this guy. Seems like an emergency move and he'll probably be in the minors all of 2018. Not sure why anyone would want him in this league to be honest
  4. North passed away in a terrible SQL accident. His will gave the team to GD. It was legally sound.
  5. Variance Jonn
  6. Stop wasting time on the blue jays message board. Go spend time your family. You'll regret every second you spend here (or playing fantasy baseball) at some point in the future. You're wasting your life.
  7. No, it's not. At some point I'll unilaterally replace GD and TRM if they don't pay attention. Might be some point soon...
  8. What's to discuss? Not much to say other than "hooray". We don't know anything about these tiny little children
  9. Right, I knew this. Obviously I made a Correa pitch but he didn't think they were close (neither did I)
  10. Praise Shapiro. The org is going to land a 16 year old pitching "sensation" as well as "arguably the best overall hitter in the class".
  11. Keegan Matheson‏ @KeeganMatheson 1h1 hour ago #BlueJays also "favourite to sign" 16-year-old 3B Miguel Hiraldo, who is "arguably the best overall hitter in the [international] class." Keegan Matheson‏ @KeeganMatheson 2h2 hours ago Pardinho, 16, is a sensation in Brazil. Fastball has touched 95, has strong curve and a SL/CH. Stands 5-foot-10, 155lbs. #BlueJays Keegan Matheson‏ @KeeganMatheson 2h2 hours ago #BlueJays are "expected to sign" Brazilian RHP Eric Pardinho, the No. 5 Int'l prospect, according to @JesseSanchezMLB.
  12. I honestly don't know. I have an SP2 and then a bunch of worthless crumbs. All eggs are in the Pomz/McHugh baskets this season. Havok and Zach have really good teams. Should make playoffs I think. z3r0s too. It's all changing so fast!
  13. I could see him sneaking into my 20th slot in the DDL. My third best SP is like, Ariel Miranda.
  14. How did he even hurt his knee? Just old guy stuff? I'm assuming his struggles this year were mostly due to pitching with a bum knee. Hopefully he can be useful next year.
  15. Blue Jays Regraded Report Card By NJH Rotation Estrada A+ : He's been as good as Max Scherzer. Could be a career year. Extend this man. Stroman A- : Only one truly bad start and he was hurt. Liriano B- : Good enough. Could be better. Happ C- : Wasn't great and then got hurt. Sanchez C- : See Happ. Lawrence D- : He might have been trash but at least he was humble about it and frankly it's not his fault he got promoted Latos F : The F is for f*** Mat Latos Bullpen Smith, Osuna, Biagini A : They've all been good. Osuna has a 2.04 FIP with no walks! Leone C+ : surprisingly effective but I don't think it lasts Loup C+ : missing bats but also missing the strikezone Barnes C- : too early to get a good grade Tepera D : no bonus points for getting lucky in my class Howell, Grilli F- : the F is for f*** Mat Latos Position Players Pillar A- : loses points for running the bases like a clown Donaldson A- : loses points for playing hurt like a f***ing idiot Martin B+ : I'll take a .330 wOBA from Russell for the next 3 years, please Carrera, Barney B- : whatever Smoak B- : funny that a .327 wOBA from a hulking first baseman with negative value at every other skill seems like a success Coghlan C+ : the plus is for the slide! Tulo C : was doing fine Goins C- : get off my team Bautista, Pearce, Morales D- : these guys have to be better Travis D- : luck dragon ate your homework Salty F- : The F is for f*** Mat Latos
  16. When would this ever be worth squat? Just look at WAR!
  17. Not going to read the useless article, but I'm guessing Biagini has a handful of blown saves (dumb stat) while Smith has none.
  18. In a blink Steve Pearce has leapfrogged Morales in hitting. Wow.
  19. Super. Ramirez has never really had a fair shake. I think it's pretty likely that he's an improvement over some of Toronto's current relievers.
  20. His plate coverage is insane. I don't think you can pitch him away - his arms are so f***ing long he can put the barrel on anything out there. To get it off the barrel you need to be 6 inches outside, and his plate discipline seems really good so he'll just take those all day. I'm not sure how teams have been trying to pitch him but I would think that up and in would be the hardest thing for him to hit.
  21. Yeah but what's Tomlin's ERA? Feel free to use the Richter scale.
  22. Steve Pearce is poised to breakout. Huge night yesterday and now he's got a mashable lefty on the mound. I believe in Steve
  23. The personal matter of course is the fact that he sucks
