  1. I'll just take Gregerson I guess.
  2. Hellickson just went for almost nothing in the DDL. You traded Howie Kendrick for a useless pick and acquired Cesar Hernandez for a useless pick (both decent bats). Ivan Nova went for almost nothing. Near the back of rosters it really just depends on the connection - who is buying, who is selling, how much they value the players. Everyone values players in the 200-1000+ o-rank range drastically different. I tried to get Chen in the DDL a while ago, hoping you would want some pick, and you asked for something I thought was preposterous. Can't remember what but I don't think I even responded. Might have been Neil Walker. Maybe that's a fair trade for some people but it was way down the road from what I thought he was worth.
  3. Probably more complicated then you think. For them it's all about being an MLB pitcher, and the team is trying to get them on a minor league deal. That's tough to begin with.
  4. RHRP Chris Smith is getting some surprising mentions right now. Arden Zwelling mentioned him along with Rowdy Tellez when asked which young guys he was looking forward to getting eyes on. I did not know Chris Smith existed until this afternoon. Never heard of him. Apparently he was called up for a day last September when Benoit got hurt. Anyway, his numbers last year were pretty sick. 81 K's in 60 innings between AA and AAA. Apparently he throws hard (95) with a good slider. http://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.cgi?id=smith-011chr Really interesting, long route to get here too. He was a Div 2 two-way player who converted to pitching, went to indy ball for a few years (getting released multiple times), then the ABL, then the Yankees for a few years (broke his forearm, came back and was decent, got released, re-signed, released again.). http://www.minorleagueball.com/2015/8/5/9099145/blue-jays-farmhand-chris-smith-an-arduous-journey-through-the-minor https://www.canadianbaseballnetwork.com/canadian-baseball-network-articles//released-and-re-released-chris-smith-now-a-big-league-reliever-with-jays Go Chris Smith! And get used to the name, because he's on the 40 now and he has three options left.
  5. awful awful awful awful awful Ross will probably come back from the dead though because connor p. walks on water
  6. I wonder what guys who throw ~90 sit at in their first spring training BP sessions. I would assume some sit 90, other sit 85. Depends on the guy. Ryu could still maybe possibly not suck? But he's probably done.
  7. Nah. Everyone has DL, day-to-day, or NA players. In the current set of rules we eliminate extra waiver picks so everyone exits the waiver draft with 25 MLB players, maximum. If people would prefer a system where you can put your keepers or selected players in the DL and NA slots and make as many waiver selections as you would like, own, and can accommodate, then we can vote on it for next year.
  8. Trade for Greg Bird and then be the Snow Birds because you f***ing leave us for half the year every year
  9. I think (insert clever name) has slowly developed into a decent handle to be honest.
  10. I traded fartface for Miller in the LoD back in October. I agree that Miller was definitely not keeper worthy in this league.
  11. Choo and Miller both blow. Nice garbage swap. Folty is more intriguing than either
  12. Once clocks start tomorrow, please remember to email the next f***er ok?
  13. someone PM Sil in the morning if he hasn't picked clocks start ticking at 9am

  15. For Brad Hand's sake I hope they don't use him in 90 f***ing games again. Ouch.
  16. Pretty Handy guy to get in the waiver draft, yes.
  17. [Bud Selig voice] The Hurl wants Josh Staumont, a pitcher from the Kansas City Royals organization. BTS has the next selection, and he is now not on the clock yet. 18. Tanner Houck!
  19. Latos STILL isn't 30 years old. Dude came into the league sitting 94 and touching 98mph. Aaron Sanchez level velocity. Now he sits like, 90mph. So much velocity loss, so fast.
