Interesting guy throwing for Vancouver in Luke Gillingham. Drafted out of Navy in 2016 (37th round), hasn't pitched since 2016 so I'm assuming he served. Had crazy good numbers his junior year of college. Crafty lefty type.

Meh. The size would mostly make me concerned about degenerative knee stuff, which would be super unlikely to affect him during the team he will be in the organization. Might matter in his 30s.

I wonder if Klay's knee giving out had anything to do with the hamstring strain. Everything is connected - a weakening in the muscle attaching to the knee could make make the knee structure less resilient to forces that could cause catastrophic injuries. You see this all the time with pitchers, right. Forearm strain or biceps soreness as a precursor to ligament tear. Having to GS monsters lose most/all of the next season due to trying to play through injury in the Finals is crazy. What a way to lose.

I f***ing LOVE the Nick Kingham pickup, even if his velocity trend looks ugly. A young, former top 100 prospect is a lot better to take a chance on than some of the pieces of s*** on the current roster.

Toronto was so much better in game 5 after Durant went down. Shame they couldn't close it out at home. Some timely shots by the Warriors and some weird (bad) decisions by Toronto, but overall they were significantly better. If they blow this series they will only have themselves to blame.

Can't believe how sharp the Rays front office is. They turned Evan Longoria into some actual organization pieces after he was clearly cooked. They turned Archer into some cornerstone pieces. God I love the Rays.

Jim, how high of a pick would you need for Polanco? Super interesting player and I'm not sure I would personally deal him for some of the college players taken at the very top of the draft this summer. -
I think I would have Manoah pitch this year in Dunedin. I don't see the obvious harm in a few more starts this year - they will expect him to carry an MLB starter's workload in ~2 years anyway. He's also from the f***ing Everglades, I think. Seems like he would be way too Advanced for Vancouver.
