  1. So no Yexit in BORED? For sure?
  2. Failure can very quickly change people. He's never failed before. The crux of this will be whether or not he considers his rookie season to be disappointing in any real respect. It's not like .276/.345/.444 is a line that screams failure. He actually has 2.1 bWAR, which is surprising! And I speak from experience. I am off-the-charts lazy and I was once considered a child prodigy in a number of things.

  4. Yeah I don't imagine coming up with the money would be a chore, at least for the first few years. A few people would throw in $20 and it would be done.
  5. That's not a terrible point (we could certainly change one or two SP slots to P slots cuz 2020). But this also gets at something else. If we do move, there are a lot of evolutions we could implement. For example, we could allow demotions if players IRL get sent down. This is something we didn't allow mostly because it would have been a pain to process on the spreadsheet. There are a ton of other rules we could implement. We could nix the practice of adding injured players, for example. I agree with the above comments about bridging eligibility rules through 2020. Seems sensible. Honestly, the biggest issue for me is the DL roster locking being a premium feature. I don't care if it's only $4 a person, I do not want to have to deal with paying money every year for the league to function. It's not even really about the money, it's the principle and the hassle. And I don't love the non-solution of just not freezing rosters... I can't of want owners to have to activate players when they become healthy. If we do end up with a dumb f***ing paid league we could at least use some neat features like allowing draft pick trading 2 years out. I don't know. Maybe this is all more trouble than it's worth? #Regretxit Maybe I am just kicking up all this dust to inflate my personal brand
  6. YAHOO: 5 starts or 10 total appearances in a position to gain eligibility that year. 3 starts to gain SP, 5 relief appearances to gain RP. If a player earned eligibility last season or would have earned it based on games played, they have it this season. Fantrax: Games needed from previous season for a player to qualify at a hitting position : 20 Games needed from current season for a player to qualify at a hitting position: 10 Starts needed from previous season for a player to qualify as a starter : 8 Starts needed from current season for a player to qualify as a starter : 4 Relief appearances needed from previous season for a player to qualify as a reliever : 8 Relief appearances needed from current season for a player to qualify as a reliever: 4 ** In Fantrax the commissioner can manually adjust any player's eligibility but the commissioner can not, apparently, adjust the general eligibility rules. NOTE THAT in fantasy history Yahoo's low eligibility rules are the exception. Most sites/places over the years have used higher thresholds than Yahoo.
  7. Yeah, trading season is wide open. Roster restrictions are lifted. Caveat - the spreadsheet has not been populated with end of season rosters yet (and who knows what we are doing with the possible migration to Fantrax, f***ing dictator GM) so if anybody does make any trades they need to keep a record themselves, so it doesn't get lost in the shuffle.
  8. Made a Fantrax league for people to poke around in. We are still not 100% moving. I think everybody should be getting emails soon. Two possible problems: 1) Injured reserve enforcement is a Premium option on Fantrax. So when a player is no longer injured, you can't prevent adds/trades like in Yahoo unless we are in a paid Premium Fantrax league. 2) Fantrax has different position eligibility rules - they are more strict. Commissioners can override any player's eligibility but I can't see how to change the default eligibility rules.
  9. I could delete the Yahoo league today before the results are final... Gauche is what I am naming first baby
  10. You mean the weekly category records, etc? At the worst we can input them into the text section on Fantrax (there is a spot to type in your league rules etc.) But I don’t know if fantrax tracks weekly records
  11. In favour: jaysblue Against: silvergun Can everyone else cast their vote here.
  12. I can stand on 7.4. The supreme commissioner Kim Jong NJH has the power to make any unilateral rule changes or actions that he thinks are in the best interest of the league. Dunkaroos, baby. But I should probably call a formal vote on this one
  13. Cole Hamels, Dick Mountain.
  14. I created a Fantrax league and have been messing around with some of the initial settings. 98% sure we are migrating so people can start wrapping their heads around it. hashtag yexit
  15. Shittiest AFL attendees in recent memory?
  16. lol, yes. it is worse to hit a woman, most of the time. try it - go out there in the world and smack one. odor's punch was much more acceptable because of the setting. it's a professional sport where people get beaned in the head. there is an implied contract to accept some violence. holy s***
  17. lol thanks for the chuckle
  18. Developing is quite the euphemism here.
  19. Turn that music down to 13!
  20. Deep down inside, I do agree that he is probably a good man. But good at baseball? It does not seem likely, right now.
  21. Uh-huh. Well Dwight proves my point, really. He's at -1 WAR now. The Orioles wanted him before 2019 but after his MLB showcase I doubt even the O's will want to roster him in 2020, if they can help it.
  22. lol yeah, our lame rule about compensating owners for the sudden loss of a valuable player definitely does not apply here
  23. Kyle Crick looks like a hero in hindsight. He could smell the pedo
