  1. Ross Atkins is cornering the market on perfectly cromulent middle relievers
  2. Sick trade f*** you Rowdy, I knew you sucked and went on the record about it and then you had to go and embarrass me with a mirage 133 wRC+ during the 2020 scam season
  3. Some injuries and playing time effects. If you look at the hard hit rate rather than total hard hit balls, all show up in the top 11: https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/leaderboard/statcast?type=batter&year=2021&position=&team=&min=q&sort=13&sortDir=asc
  4. Bloody Mary Candyman Bettlejuice BoxCar8
  5. I guess the only way forward from that is to transition
  6. This is very funny. It's satire, right?

Nah man, Kucherov willingly faked an injury and sat out the entire regular season so they could circumvent the cap. It was their only hope to beat the Montreal Canadiens.
  8. This is correct but I wouldn't exactly agree with the bolded part. It's certainly reasonable to have zero stance re: the concussion and fracture narratives, but I tend to agree with BTS. I think it's a reasonable inference at this point, and not the application of bias, to say that she probably did not suffer a skull fracture and did not receive clear diagnosis of a concussion. If either injury was true her declaration would be stating that as fact and her lawyer would be unequivocal about it.

  10. You are disgusting. How are you a moderator, honestly. You make me sick.
  11. We don't know. Here is what we do know: - she had no skull fracture - she had swelling, bruising, scratches (all evident in the pictures) Everything else is just taken from her declaration or her court filing. She says she sought treatment for a concussion, and was diagnosed with an "acute head injury".

Habs played well for certain chunks of that game. Got lucky on some of those penalty kills where TB had like, 100% possession and zone time and kept just missing the net or ringing iron. Happy that it wasn't a sweep at the very least. Still in tough. The talent gap is pretty glaring.
  13. I mean, I've read some of her past stuff that was shockingly wrong on certain legal or technical points. She's also not a criminal lawyer. Their letter is probably based on her BTBS article. It already contains a correction in the editor's note at the bottom (no surprise that Sheryl Ring fell completely for the skull fracture lie). She also supposes motive the motives of Bauer's team, which seems irresponsible at the very least: So here is a plausible interpretation: 1. Sheryl Ring's article had (and may still have, for all we know) lies and falsehoods in it 2. Sheryl Ring's article may have the law completely wrong in certain ways (I don't know) 3. Sheryl Ring's article is stating as fact the motives of Bauer's team, which could be completely wrong
  14. SWR is having a great year. Love the K rate. Who gives a s*** what his ERA is and the walk rate isn't alarmingly high given the number of innings. Zero red flags
  15. Fangraphs has turned The Board into something a bit organic. They move prospects around at intervals throughout the year.
  16. No, he's a total f***ing LARPer. It's all pretend. I mean he follows college ball in detail but his predictions suck, his analysis is worse than bad, and I doubt he has any connections. He had so many tweets hating on Alek Manoah a while ago. All deleted now, no doubt.

A Michigan medical examiner says autopsy results have shown that Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Matiss Kivlenieks died of chest trauma after a mortar-style firework started to fire toward Kivlenieks and several others on July 4. Novi, Michigan, police had initially told The Associated Press that Kivlenieks was fleeing a hot tub with others after the fireworks malfunction and slipped and hit his head on concrete. He was 24. I think this is supposed to say head trauma but pretty crazy way to go. Running away from a firework and slipping out of a hot tub. Final Destination death.
  18. The Mets have many Blue Jays that flew away. Many fine feathers over there. Loupy, Pillar, McKinney, Sean Foley, Stro Show, Tyler Walker, Villar, Yennsy Diaz, Miguel Castro, and Brandon Drury who always played his tail off here. Also of course Thor on the IL. And their new shortstop Francisco Lindor is not hitting very well. I wonder if Toronto could get some heart and soul back by trading Bichette to the New York Mets? Loup + Castro + Foley fixes the entire bullpen in one move
  19. Right, but the claim was that the Yankees have been able to weasel out of bad contracts. The two examples are evidence of the contrary. They failed at weaseling out of Ellsbury's deal and I believe the end of A Rod's contract was just a negotiated solution between him and the team, or something like that.
  20. They had to pay Ellsbury I don't remember the specifics with A Rod but didn't he like retire into being a team advisor?
  21. I dunno, they are all concrete monstrosities but the Coliseum's habit of flooding with sewage seems to make it worse. The RC is ugly and old but at least it's not a bowl of s***. Maybe Dodger Stadium belongs on the list? I do not know.
  22. Fenway The Trop Rogers Centre The Coliseum Coors Minute Maid
  23. ?????? also, there are several joke stadiums in MLB
  24. He's probably just going to slip back from a 6-7 WAR pitcher to like a 5 WAR pitcher. I mean his numbers are still very good right now and he is on pace for 5+.
