  1. Ball 4 to Yandy was 100% a strike ugh
  2. Slamtander can play 1B though so if he is the guy coming back, that's a direct replacement for France's role
  3. I am happy that France is no longer taking PA from Schneider That was my concern at the time of the trade Whether they send out France or Loperfido for Santander is the question.
  4. Baz has been getting NUKED so it would be horrendous to lose this one and tie the series. LFGGGG win #90 tonight please
  5. This ballpark is disgusting Can't wait to get out of here The humid atmosphere seems like hell
  6. Berrios got 0 strikeouts last night, against a team that had 18 the night before. 13 pitchers on a playoff roster. Gausman, Bieber = SP Yesavage, Scherzer, Bassitt = on the roster as SP or long RP Hoffman, Fisher, Little, Dominguez, Varland, YRod, Nance = RP One more arm fits. Do you want Lauer, Berrios, Fluharty, or Borucki? Fluharty might be the best fit. I see an argument for Lauer since he's a lefty. Don't see any real argument for Berrios...
  7. The Lukes HR stuff from last night is the second absolute Ball Don't Lie moment for the 2025 Blue Jays Truly a team of destiny. God's team.
  8. Two games in a row Hoffman throwing 94 Man needs rest and drugs
  9. Staniferrrr
  10. ChatGPT fail. Look at this mutant Jazz Chisholm
  11. Toronto could clinch a playoff spot as early as tomorrow night, I guess.
  12. Do you mean where in the ball flight the measurement is taken? I think your 7mph thing needs a decimal "The Pitch/FX system that MLB used in 2010 measured pitches at roughly 50 feet from home plate, which is where the 105.1 mph of Chapman’s fastball was measured. The current MLB Statcast system measures velocity as the pitch leaves the pitcher’s hand. MLB has gone back and recalibrated Pitch/FX pitches to convert them to their velocity at pitch release. That’s why Chapman’s fastest fastball found an extra .7 mph." When you go back further it gets more wonky. I think some of the Nolan Ryan velos for example would have been taken at like, home plate? I've read that before. Those are just reported velocities though so whatever.
  13. Yeah that's what they said "it helps your team, it's basically like booing a ball" I look forward to seeing the genius Orioles fans cheering the next time a Jays P throws over in Baltimore
  14. Funny to see the Baltimore announcers call Canadian baseball fans low IQ for boo-ing the Baltimore P throwing to first. Don't fans jeer the visiting pitcher on throws over like, everywhere where the fans care at all? They boo it all the time in Fenway or Citizens Bank.
  15. First Stuff+ measurements say: 113 Stuff+ and 91 Location+ 111 FA, 122 Split, 105 SL 113 Stuff+ on a qualified SP is pretty special, so if he can hold anywhere near that over a large sample size and if command is not problematic, he could be special. Location+ takes more time to mean anything (I think) but we can tell from his MiLB numbers that the command probably isn't great at this point in time. I keep going back to Kodai Senga as a comp but seeing this, that's probably more of a healthy "floor" comp. Like, if the command is a true minus and the slider kind of loses it's shape of effectiveness and he is mostly a two pitch dude. Lots of ways his career could go. Hopefully he stays healthy. But when you start by looking at guys like Senga or Gausman, it's a good sign.
  16. There is also a part of Bo the Human Commodity that thinks if he comes back and is a playoff hero, it will make a significant difference for his appeal in free agency. There is truth to this. Whether it makes sense or not, some GMs/owners care about this stuff.
  17. I love his stuff. Very unique. Nasty slider with great control of it + what seems to be unique movement Good curveball with nice depth to differentiate it as a pitch Fastball with enough velo to work if used appropriately The combination of Stuff and command of the slider puts it up there as maybe a top 10 or 20 slider in baseball? Perhaps
  18. Bo the Player Bo the Commodity The Toronto Blue Jays Stakeholders 1 and 3 want Bo to play, obviously. Stakeholder 2 has almost no interest in Bo playing if there is even a small risk of the low-grade knee sprain (stretch or tear of the Patella ligament, it sounds like) getting worse. This is the kind of injury that can be aggravated into surgery. Like, a mild sprain that would get better with a month or rest and recovery can become a full tear. Huge financial risk for Bo the Human Commodity, to play at all. Since he has already locked in a "star" season in 2025 and proven he is an offensive force entering FA.
  19. Yeah but the way he plays defense... he's way more likely to hurt the knee on the basepaths. So DH or as George would say "Offensive Player" isn't a huge decrease in the injury risk.
  20. Not sure they could. Saw something like they aren't allowed to put him on outright waivers since he is injured. So only options to get him off the 40 were DFA and release or put him on the MLB 60 day for the rest of the year They probably thought about it and were like, well he sucks and won't make the team and we can probably use any AAA PA on someone more useful next year so f*** him
  21. Already peeps are saying his splitter could be the best pitch in baseball Lol that's too hype for me but nice to see
  22. I'm seeing people say Yesavage's whiff rate was the highest in an MLB debut... of anyone, ever? Is that true?
  23. Can we talk about how Yesavage was robbed of an immaculate inning by Laz Diaz? This was the third batter. He K'd the first two on six pitches.
  24. So you like swing and miss? 18 strikeouts tonight wow Toronto Yesavage had 19 freaking whiffs!?
  25. They probably score with Simpson on second. Unless something goofy happens. Win it in the 12th?
