  1. Holy f*** I want to edit a little video of Buck and Tabby jerking Alex Cora off for not pulling Pivetta and then just end the video with that homer
  2. That's a weird one
  3. I actually banned him before I saw all this. Could tell from his post calling me a dummy that it was some basement dweller crawling back to troll
  4. Sure but giving Bo tips on hitting with two strikes is like giving Vladdy tips on consuming rice and beans.
  5. Uhhhh pretty sure Bo doesn't need you to tell him how to hit
  6. 6. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. ® LF 7. Randal Grichuk ® CF this pleases me
  7. I don't think they updated grades, at least not for everybody. He should at least be 60 hit 50 power based on the reports
  8. I don't see the rationale for the Groshans drop either. Perhaps they just think they overrated him before. I'm sure there will be a chat soon where someone will confront them about it.
  9. The didn't really update most written reports though, if anyone is wondering. Not sure if they updated tools grades at all. Gabriel Moreno Blue JaysC Notes: Tools: Hit: 55 | Power: 45 | Run: 30 | Fielding: 50 | Arm: 55 Skinny: On a team littered with Top 100 prospects, Moreno’s start to the season has been loud. Moreno has always been a good athlete with the hand-eye coordination to make a lot of contact, but swing adjustments and more strength have helped his power show up more in games. Alek Manoah Blue JaysRHP Notes: Tools: Fastball: 60 | Slider: 55 | Changeup: 50 | Control: 50 Skinny: After only ascending as high as the short-season level in his pro debut, Manoah reintroduced himself with authority during big league spring training. Using a powerful mixture of four- and two-seam fastballs and a slider and changeup, Manoah struck out 15 over seven one-hit innings spread across two outings. Scouts were especially impressed by the slider, which flashed as high as a 70-grade offering during one outing. The Blue Jays have pumped out a steady stream of hard-throwers in recent years, and Manoah could be next up. Austin Martin Blue JaysSS/OF Notes: Tools: Hit: 70 | Power: 55 | Run: 55 | Fielding: 50 | Arm: 50 Skinny: The fifth overall pick in 2020 is an impressive young hitter, although his future position is up in the air. Nate Pearson Blue JaysRHP Notes: Tools: Fastball: 80 | Curveball: 50 | Slider: 70 | Changeup: 55 | Control: 55 Skinny: Pearson has arguably the best pure stuff of any pitching prospect. Staying healthy and improving his control are his next steps to fulfilling his frontline potential. So far, that’s not happening this year, as Pearson re-aggravated a strain of his right groin during spring training. Orelvis Notes: Tools: Hit: 60 | Power: 60 | Run: 45 | Fielding: 40 | Arm: 60 Skinny: Martinez might have to move to third base, but potentially plus hittability and power will help him profile there. Jordan Groshans Blue JaysSS Notes: Tools: Hit: 60 | Power: 60 | Run: 50 | Fielding: 50 | Arm: 60 Skinny: There is a strong belief in Groshans' bat, but both the Blue Jays and general observers are more than ready to see him return to playing games that count. Alejandro Kirk Blue JaysC Notes: Tools: Hit: 70 | Power: 50 | Run: 20 | Fielding: 45 | Arm: 50 Skinny: Evaluators are split on whether Kirk can stay behind the plate, but he should hit for average and power.
  10. The front office thinks a manager's ability to increase collective positivity is more important than the manager's tactical skill. Or something like that. Maybe they think tactical competency can be learned but attitude can't and they love Charlie's smile. I don't know. Ugh.
  11. Baseball America had him 91st
  12. King, you little fart. You know it depends on what happens with the allegations. If nothing gets proven and it kind of looks like the accuser was nuts, he will be back. And he'll probably be a Yankee.

2020 pick was just BPA and it was very clear cut. IIRC most outlets had Tkachuk in the top 4 so he was also BPA, although it wasn't as clear. I think he was ranked like 7th by some places. They get a bit of credit for not f***ing up either pick and perhaps an extra point for picking Tkachuk but hard to give them a lot of credit. It's like Toronto picking Austin Martin.

62% of sens fans on hfboards think Ottawa's draft was good or excellent. Only 8% think it was ugly.

Because they are absolutely f***ing retarded. That's the whole story.

The article you got that image from actually supports the idea that defenseman age weird. https://hockey-graphs.com/2017/03/23/a-new-look-at-aging-curves-for-nhl-skaters-part-1/ I think the ones who don't rely on speed have a decent chance to stay good to their mid 30s. Look how weird that curve is. Anyway, I'm open to the idea that hockey fancy stats are imperfect and a player as talented as OEL could be much better with a change of scenery

OEL is 30. This is anecdotal but NHL defenseman can age pretty gracefully.

  19. You don't get it. Their record is 59-38 and their expected record based on run differential is 55-42. They are a good team either way but they probably have a few lucky wins. The opposite is true for Toronto.
  20. Detmers throws hard now apparently. How the f*** does that even happen
  21. That's a five star play, and a lot of brains to bounce the throw on purpose
  22. Veen is in a dog s*** organization for developing prospects though.
  23. Sounds like he has a slapstick approach right now and hasn't figured out how to turn on pro pitching. You know, Martin is still quite young and young for AA. He's only like 8 months older than Groshans and 11 months older than Moreno so they are all in the same peer group. And his junior year was 75% wiped out by Covid so it's not like having gone to College really gives him any sort of developmental leg up.
  24. Wow, Ryan and Strotman is a massive return for a rental Cruz. But Tampa Bay is so deep they HAVE to trade prospects and everyone knows it
  25. Pre arb players as good as Bo are top 20 assets. Other teams would give their left and right nuts for him.
