  1. Looking at Berrios' vertical release point on the fastball (grouping four seamer and two seamer together) 2019: lowest: 5.35 feet highest: 5.6 feet 2020: lowest: 5.45 feet highest: 5.62 feet 2021: lowest 5.41 feet highest 5.67 feet 2022: lowest: 5.28 feet highest: 5.53 (first start) highest since: 5.49 feet Maybe there is something there? His average vertical release point on all of his pitches = lowest of his career. Nagging arm injuries can make it harder to find that high release point. You see people mention a declining release point as an early sign of injury. Sometimes there is not even PAIN it's just that the shoulder or whatever is weakened.

Honestly every Canadian team is too soft Has been this way for years. Why did all of them trend this way?

Same old story. Leafs don't have enough truculence
  5. Forgot about this. I am wrong, as usual
  6. Yeah he's been a god send
  7. Maybe he's hurt. Losing his release point because of a chronic mild injury
  8. Yeah I checked and noticed that. There are a couple of guys who have only logged in like 40 days this year which is not great
  9. When you think about it, Toronto is getting f***ed by injuries and underperformance. I don't see how you can reasonably blame the team for any of this. Sure Ryu was always an injury risk but who saw Berrios struggling like this? And Kikuchi should have at least been able to pitching like a 1 WAR SP5. Pretty s*** luck ngl
  10. Yimi Garcia was probably a desperation signing. I bet no other team was offering him two years but Toronto felt backed into a corner, after being spurned by dozens of free agent RPs.
  11. Yeah Shapiro and Atkins laughed at this publicly, and said people had no idea how big of a disadvantage Toronto was subject to as far as roster construction goes
  12. "filling out the bullpen should not be difficult" Remember that Toronto has been at a severe free agent disadvantage since the onset of COVID and this continued over last offseason because of the rule differences between the countries, certain players not being vaccinated, or perhaps having unvaccinated family members, etc. They don't have the benefit of a level playing field unfortunately. I would imagine this type of disadvantage hurts even more when trying to sign smaller contracts like with relievers and bench/depth players...
  13. I dunno. His pitch mix this year looks about the same as 2018 and 2019. Yes, the sinker featured more in 2020 and 2021. But observationally he's having trouble hitting his spots with everything so I am not sure the 4 seamer % is "by design" this season.
  14. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2022/06/ronald-acuna-jr-suffers-foot-injury-could-be-headed-to-10-day-il.html Acuna the new Buxton?
  15. Kind of weird for them to be so honest, yeah
  16. Berrios must be tipping his pitches or something. It's bizarre that he keeps getting hammered. Kikuchi the problems are obvious.
  17. You can pay coaches pretty well when your talent is $0 slave labour
  18. Pathetic Pathetic pathetic pathetic
  19. I'm down for dadagad and Connorp to replace any completely inactive owners immediately, if they want. If there are any 100% inactive owners.. I need to check
  20. So in five days Castillo starts right. Right?
  21. He is putting the ball in play Some nice diversity in the middle of the lineup lol
  22. I guess if Tapia is at the bottom then in the later innings they can get him and Biggio with one LHRP Still him hitting 6th is hilarious
