  1. well it doesn't need to be adjusted down through arb these are non-guaranteed deals so if the team does not think the player is worth anything close to the arb projection anymore they just non-tender them and some other team can then sign them for whatever they are actually worth
  2. You'll take whatever Atkins gives you, you don't run this team
  3. There are like, zero CF free agents after Nimmo and Kiermaier so you would def need to pay Bellinger SOMETHING. It will be interesting to see what happens. B prospect + Dodgers eat some money is reasonable. You get him, you get the upside, cost is known.
  4. I dunno. If you just EXPECT him to do nothing other than play good D, run the bases well, and hit .210 while accidentally running into 20 homers.... it would be fine.
  5. I think they are absolutely working on trades and they will probably just keep him if they don't find a nice swap.
  6. Probably but I think he would want a pure one year deal.
  7. Man a dream scenario for Toronto would be Bellinger for peanuts. Even if he plays no better than 2022.
  8. early career Kevin Pillar was the platonic ideal of many things. he needs to be a statue.
  9. Well it's not going to be a literal "all glove" CF like JBJ or Zimmer. They were like 50 wRC+ players. True zeroes with the stick. Someone like KK would be a 85 to 90 wRC+ player (projection and 2022 results). That's palatable, playable, perfectly reasonable. So a "mostly glove" CF.
  10. Toronto will not be signing Conforto. They will bring in a defense first CF who will play every day. Everyone will HATE the move but it will be good.
  11. this is an OUT TO LUNCH take Carlos Moreno should be worth more than Thomas I'm not sure if the gap is a "great pitching prospect" but there is a clear gap
  12. lol I would throw Gurriel or Biggio into a deal like that in a millisecond
  13. Seattle must like Hummel for statcasty reasons, based on MiLB data. His MLB sample showed 71st percentile Max EV and 88th percentile sprint speed and 93rd percentile arm strength. Evidently he is tooled up and he did have back to back .300/.400/.500 lines in AAA. Could be one of those guys who prospect lists just missed for various reasons. I mean he's very old so that matters.
  14. Gallo would be an amazing 4th OF but some team will absolutely be offering him a full time role, or at least a most-time role. Gurriel has a lot of flaws. Given his salary (5.8M) there is no NEED to trade him but I hope his role on the depth chart heading into 2023 is "salary appropriate". By that I mean, he shouldn't really be a locked in full time player. He should be in a platoon of sorts. I know he has even platoon splits in his career but it would be more about getting a RHP masher to complement him than it would be about hiding him against RHP. He should also be the one getting removed for defensive purposes in late and close situations. And he should be the first one to lose his job if there is an emergent prospect.
  15. Snakes adding OF depth before they trade one to Toronnnntooooooo
  16. you mean Late Dump
  17. lol I didn't even notice that Baz had TJS whoops
  18. have you ever watched Shane Baz pitch?
  19. I don't think there is a dance partner for that kind of move. Some might say Daulton Varsho but mehhhhhhhhhhh
  20. zero shares
  21. seems like if the Dodgers were going to non-tender him they would have dumped him this week, off the 40 man
  22. Baz Lodolo Grissom Painter Tiedemann / Harrison tied
  23. f*** yeah get grissom
  24. if you google "Eno Sarris pitching plus" you'll find his articles he tags the sheet in many of them https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1AE1dNnudwRS6aLhWA1SArp1GoviUeHNcASXxtm3Le9I/edit#gid=183039869 this is the google sheet in my history
  25. 103.2 Stuff+ 102 Location+ = 103.6 Pitching+ The Stuff+ is pretty mediocre (elite RP are like 130+) but the Location+ is good for a reliever (this number is more compressed, elite pitchers are like 107+). I don't know if this is telling. His Pitching+ (total figure) is near guys like Bryan Abreu, Kenley Jansen, David Bednar, but also some guys like Eli Morgan or John Brebbia who are less exciting.
