  1. Cleveland can pitch. McClanahan might be hurt for the playoffs. I think I’d prefer the home games
  2. 4.5 games up on Baltimore now ... and only 5.5 back of New York fun times!
  3. Congrats Mike My bats blew it. Sub .300 OBP. Cease throwing a CG one hitter vs McClanahan getting hurt warming up was pretty much the week
  4. Romano now has a better ERA and FIP than 2021 rumours of his demise (from me probably lol) were greatly exaggerated
  5. yeah he is locking in at the right time
  6. Honestly just never that good. He had a hot start for sure but he's a guy who hit .240/.306/.448 in AA the year before his good 1/3 of an MLB season
  7. Man that game should have been 10-0 This team is so weird
  8. Yeah Bart might be fine long term Looks like he is slightly better than I thought. Last I checked he was replacement level
  9. sure but there are lots of top prospects who don't produce Bart, Adell, Kelenic, Whitley, McKay, Pache, Kieboom..... these are just a few examples of highly ranked players from Pearson's "class" who have been mostly useless.
  10. 4 innings of a +7 run CF combined with 5 innings of a -5 run CF is 7*(4/9) - 5*(5/9) = 3.1111111 - 2.7777777 = a +0.33 run CF so league average D on the whole
  11. I think they can and should do this. Merrifield is a WEIRD hitter having a bad year but I don't think he's useless at the dish like JBJ and Zimmer. I think you still use him with confidence against lefties especially with all the other options being who they are. So you, Zimmer starts the game and plays a couple defensive innings then gets pinch hit for my the "starter" with the platoon advantage who probably gets 3 PA. Then that guy is either pinch hit for later when platoon advantage switches, and/or replaced defensively by JBJ.
  12. I did not know that JBJ could pinch run twice in a game and cover two outfield positions Good to know though
  13. No, I never said that. But you said they literally make the team worse. That's dumb. I would have just called up Moreno and Pop probably. Or some other arm like Juenger or even Trent Thornton if Pop can't be called up yet. At least Thornton can have some use as a middle reliever.
  14. And their payroll is not even top 5. I think it's like 8th or 9th this year and might only creep up a bit next year.
  15. The Braves are insane now. Fried-Wright-Strider-Morton-Odorizzi Anderson-Soroka-Muller-Shuster in the minors Acuna Swanson Riley Albies Olson Harris II Grissom d'Arnaud / Contreras Only apparent short term thin spot is the outfield corners in 2022. Rosario and Grossman blow; Acuna has not been handling a corner every day. I think their only core players reaching FA this offseason are Swanson, Morton, Kenley Jansen
  16. Strider definitely
  17. You really think they are going to use Lawrence out of the pen in a close game? He's probably mop up duty or emergency use only. Might never even see him pitch. If they want to start Zimmer over Bradley Jr. that's not a downgrade anyway, just a lateral move s*** to s***.
  18. After the first two teams it's pretty even honestly. But White Sox have some major flaws/holes.
  19. 2023 AL Power Rankings Houston New York Tampa Bay Toronto Seattle Cleveland Baltimore Boston Minnesota Chicago I still think a team like Seattle probably edges Baltimore or Toronto or Tampa in 2023 for the final WC. Whichever of those three suffers too many injuries or s***** performances.
  20. that could happen this year too
  21. Every AL East team will be over .500 It is going to be nuts.
  22. The Orioles are the best franchise in baseball now
