These elite players kind of have two legs to their careers. There is the pre-30 segment where they collect WAR based on pure physical talent. Then there is the 30-onward segment where they try to collect WAR with declining pure physical talent. He means in terms of prospect talent. The pitching rosters in AAA are generally pretty s*****. A sprinkling of actual prospects but for the most part it is older arms or fringe "prospects" who are 25/26 years old
