  1. You definitely pay for quality and not quantity at chik fil a. Still awesome though.

Legendary. The perfect way for CP to end his career.
  3. Soto makes almost any outfield scary but yeah that would be dope. Even if you ignore Dominguez and insert some ransom CF placeholder like KK, dope OF. Soto-Judge would be the best 3/4 in the league, maybe? The Yanks would still need to add on the infield though.
  4. I dunno man. Their lineup is pretty gross. Everyone is either old or bad. Some of them are old AND bad. Even Judge is 31 now. Stanton and Rizzo are 34 and sucked. DJM is cooked. They should regress in the right direction on the pitching side... ... but the tough division is only going to get harder as Boston rebuilds, Baltimore cements itself for a 5 year window, and TB / TOR keep pushing forward.
  5. They aren't probably HAPPY with it but he's a pretty flawed hitter if being compared to elite 1B/DH types. Like, his K and BB rates and MaxEV are not juicy at all. So they can't hope for too much, it would be unrealistic.
  6. I think they'd settle for 2023 Torkelson + a few more singles
  7. Rotation is much better than in recent years but Olson and Gipson-Long are still ideally a team's #5 and #6 SP. So Detroit needs two more arms to be serious. I guess they still have Mize and Manning as wild card young guys... and Faedo? Jackson Jobe, Wilmer Flores. Actually, nvm that's pretty good lol
  8. There are lots of variables in numbers like this You'd have to break it down by like, the TYPE of pitcher that has to do multiple disengagements, the type of runner that will only chance it with an 11 foot lead, etc. Like, in the third bucket you could have slower runners choosing to attempt steals more often because they get a bigger lead. You also might only see pitchers in that bucket who have worse pickoff moves (guys with elite moves don't really need to do repeated disengagements...)
  9. younger and better!
  10. this will work out
  11. pretty interesting they must be making an earnest attempt I like how Toronto tends to do this even if most of the time they just up "price enforcing."
  12. I was wrong! wtf Sonny that's not significantly more than Chris Bassitt lmao
  13. Some of this post has big "I don't even watch baseball" energy Moreno has more raw pop IMO and a more traditional swing which seems more likely to actually yank homers. I could actually see him hitting 25 HR a few times if he figures it all out. Moreno had a gross year on BsR but you can just look at the two guys and safely assume he will be at least 5 runs better at BsR than Kirk in every year. They are not as similar as they first seem. I think when their careers are over the player profiles will be quite different, even if they are both good catchers who carry a decent BA.
  14. If a SP is signing before Yamamoto and Ohtani set the market, it's 100% an obvious overpay. Well, in this context. At the end of the offseason there is the chance that what looks like an overpay today no longer does.
  15. Moreno kind of put the "no power" label behind him in the second half. 5 HR in just 41 games and then 4 more in the playoffs (17 games) including some that weren't exactly wall scrapers. He looks like a 15+ HR catcher. 20+ if he puts the games in. The biggest concerns with Moreno are on defense. I guess baserunning too. He might not be the athletic, defensive asset scouts thought.
  16. Go find one post saying this Try to find one Go do it
  17. Really funny and aggressive moves by them. Overpaid two SP5s by $2M to get them quick and then are probably overpaying Gray by a bit. At least Gray is really good.
  18. That guy seems like a wannabe reporter But every team who can afford it is offering Ohtani max money...
  19. Well, huge gap between Yamamoto/Langford and Skenes. If those are truly the top 3 and you can trade up a spot to ensure you get Yamamoto or Langford you should definitely do it
  20. Houston and SFG are interesting takes I'm not quite sold on any of your sneaky smart teams but I see the angle. Still prefer MIL and CLE to them. What CLE did recently through the draft was f***ing nuts. I think Bibee, Williams, and Logan Allen were all like... 2020-2021 draft picks lmao.
  21. The Blue Jays have the..... 8th best front office? Insert ranking here
  22. yeah they were a borderline playoff team they ended up experiencing slightly less postseason luck than another borderline playoff team, being the Minnesota Twins everyone agrees it would be better to go into the postseason as a really good team! an elite team! a team with less problems! no debate there
  23. bruh, whit merrifield had like a .250 OBP in August, Sept, Oct
