    It's funny how Varsho's defensive numbers in LF this year are so close to average. Probably just random. But I am not sure he gets a big value boost by being a full time CF. I think his LF numbers these year are nonsensically low but the same can be said for his CF numbers, in the other direction; randomly high. They cancel out. His aggregate DRS in the OF is +27. His OAA is +10, his UZR/150 is +13.2. I for one am certainly not expecting significant increases on those figures as a full time CF. We might see a minor bump though. His career UZR/150 in CF is +16.5

    Why assume that the front office is not telling the players to get in shape? They can't exactly MAKE a player do anything. Baseball has a lot of fatties. Always has. Eating disorders are hard. They did convince Vlad to drop a bunch of fat the one year.

    The Angels do indeed blow but it's still Sandoval / Detmers / Canning lining up vs Texas. And some okay hitters in the LAA lineup. I bet LAA takes one from them.

    The Blue Jays announced that they have selected the contract of outfielder Cam Eden. Infielder Ernie Clement has been optioned in a corresponding active roster move with infielder Mason McCoy designated for assignment to open a 40-man spot. This must be a pinch runner move. 53/57 in SB attempts this year in 131 games

    Varsho is disappointing but he's doing juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuust enough to keep hope that he could rekindle his 2022 level of production with some minor changes. Agreed the D-Backs are super fun. Too bad a lot of their young pitching absolutely s*** THE BED this year. Pfaadt, Nelson, Jameson, Henry, Cecconi. I mean, it's all Corbin Carroll I guess. without him they aren't that fun, haha.

    Crazy how the difference between 95 and 97+ for some guys is just ~five pounds of leg muscle. Just squat heavier and you will go from mediocre to elite. And then you get fat slobs like Alek Manoah... hahaha.
