    I just see 4 guys who you prefer as setup men It's totally fine, and there is no need to upgrade. Also, Nance, Little, Fluharty, and Fisher can reasonably be second tier setup men as well, say 7th inning guys. So you could have a full 8 man bullpen without any slop at all. It's great for depth.     It is a deep pen but not as good if you focus on the top 2 or 3 relievers, compared to some of the teams above them in the overall projections

    The rumor mill is starting to say that Kyle Tucker is not getting offered what he wants. Toronto may be the current "high bidder" but it's low $300s. Potential for an annoying pillow contract for him, which means any team who can do a $40m AAV can swoop in. I refuse to link any of this crap though

    It becomes worth the gamble if you don't have to pay him $100M+ A lot of talk about Joey Gallo and Miguel Sano as negative comps, but not enough consideration of JUST HOW f***ING CLOSE those two were to being stars. Like, this is the Kyle Schwarber tool kit. Dude is 26 Pirates or some other team who have trouble signing big stars should think about this. He's a better fit on a team like that, perhaps, than a team like Toronto, New York, etc. where there will be immense pressure on him to be a star right away.

    Tucker is not a primo 5 tool player anymore. If he ever was one? His defense and sprint speed are below average. He's a good baserunner despite the poor sprint speed. Bat speed and raw power are not impressive. Arm is average. This is a corner outfielder with declining defense who has an incredible approach and barrel control. He's actually not dissimilar from Bo in terms of total package as both leave a lot to be desired in terms of defense, bat speed, and sprint speed. They just have wildly different plate discipline and approaches plus Tucker is somehow a great baserunner. Tucker may age much more gracefully but I really can't agree that he has way more upside than Bo Bichette. In fact, one could say he's completely maxed out whereas Bo could still develop a better approach and hit more dingers

    All of this is true and it is how I felt a couple of months ago but this off-season makes it seem like the payroll can go anywhere so give me Tucker, the better player and safer bet

    Scenarios where they cut or trade Berrios or Santander are too fantastical. At best you can hope for a bad contract swap. Very unlikely to find that fit. If they need to move MLB players because of all the additions, it's much more likely they trade someone the fans like a bit such as Lauer or Lukes or Schneider, and get some value back
