    "After droves of secrecy and anonymous reporting about secret meetings between Shohei Ohtani and various suitors, Dodgers skipper Dave Roberts refreshingly came right out and told reporters that his club recently hosted Ohtani for a visit at Dodgers Stadium (link via Jack Harris of the L.A. Times). Roberts added that Ohtani is “clearly our top priority.” Asked why he was so direct when other clubs have gone to great measures to conceal their efforts to negotiate with Ohtani, Roberts replied (via MLB.com’s Anthony Castrovince): “I don’t feel like lying is something I do. I was asked a question. … It’s going to come out at some point.” Imagine if this insulted Ohtani so he stopped talking to the Dodgers

    s***** MLB level prospects or young players: Austin Wells, Everson Periera, Estavan Florial, Oswald Peraza, Oswaldo Cabrera. I doubt any of those bats profile as first division starters, but some team might value them while they are cheap. King and Schmidt. Several controllable RP with value. Trey Sweeney, Roderick Arias, Spencer Jones. Handful of prospect arms like Thorpe, Gil, Yoendrys Gomez, Will Warren.

    How can he be a s***** reliever when he just held his own for 32 starts and 160 innings? At a minimum he's a GOOD reliever or really good swing-man.

    Yeah that's wild King looked so good at the end of last year that I bet the Yankees would be hesitant to trade him 1 for 1 for Soto Manoah and Schimdt are similar assets to be honest. Teams might prefer one or the other depending on what they think they can do with them.

    that's why I picked him! Soto is about the same as peak Hafner in terms of offensive talent and defensive uselessness.

    He is so good that unless he gets hit by a motorcycle he is guaranteed to remain good for a few years But if the rest of his career just looks like, I dunno, Travis Hafner's entire career... that's not great for $450M, haha.

    lmao, the Fangraphs headline on the Kelenic trade is pretty aggressive Mariners Attach Kelenic to Salary Dump. May God Have Mercy on Their Souls Faceplanting into a water feature would’ve been a more productive use of Jerry Dipoto’s Sunday evening than what he actually got up to.

    yeah it might be 13/450 the new trend is these 13 year deals, just take the same total $$$ and pay it over 13 instead of 10 years
