    That's not that bad. I actually think some teams MIGHT just take it on. He has been worth 1.7 WAR in 40 games this year He projects for 2.3-3.2 more WAR in 99 more games this year (139 games, 4 to 4.9 fWAR) $37m AAV is only asking for like 3 WAR of production His ability to stay on the field is terrible but his talent has remained through this age 34 season, so you cannot question the 5+ WAR upside It's only 4 more season after this one. It's almost 2030!!!! Huge marketing / star impact thing for many teams I think you could comp him to someone like Jake Degrom when he was a free agent at 35 and guess what he got paid.... drumroll... Contract 5 yr, $185M (2023-27) (RR) ALMOST EXACTLY WHAT TROUT HAS LEFT WTF AND HE'S NOT A PITCHER!!!!!!!!!!

    Miles is interesting because he has 4 pitches that he throws in a close to equal distribution and they all get similar Stuff grades Sinker (34.5%) and Slider (21%) grade at 100 Fastball (24.7) Curveball (19.8%) grade at 98 I guess the sinker is more of a two-seamer (Bassitt style) in his head because he doesn't really throw it low. You like that he has 3.5 pitches and can throw any of them. That will keep hitters off their toes. You dislike that there is no standout pitch and his fastball movement profiles might be way too typical, leading to him becoming a HR prone meatball factory once hitters see him more. You would like to see a splitter or kick change or something. Maybe a splinker.
