f***ing finally the Angels actually spend on pitching. Hope he has a full healthy season for them.
Syndergaard AND Ohtani throwing 100mph bullets is sexy
Holy crappo, unexpected. I guess the trade hurts a bit less now? Lets hope Berrios gives us plenty of solid playoff starts over the duration of this contract!
Yup, agree with this for sure. Schwarber makes a lot of sense as a LH bat to plug in to the top half of the lineup. Then Seager or Escobar for 3B and the lineup is pretty much set.
Then focus on improving pitching as much as possible
Feels like Seager is the most likely on this list. If he only costs 2/24 that would be an excellent fit. Schwarber would be a nice add too, that would give us 3 LHB (includes Biggio at 2B) which is something we were severely lacking last year.
Iglesias would be nice
Yeah its dumb that trade discussions seem to be like “hey we want one of your top 2 guys plus extras” not taking into account the actual quality of each team’s farm.
I guarantee everyone calling the jays this year will be asking for Moreno, take it or leave it. Meanwhile they’ll call the Yanks and settle for one of their overhyped bum prospects... something like Luis Gil
Im just glad the Astros aren’t gonna win again.
Feel kinda bad for Dusty though. Guy has come SUPER close to winning a WS multiple times. Likely retires this year you’d think
Definitely feels like Seager (older) will be a Bluejay in 2022. He just checks off so many boxes... LH hitter, solid defense at 3B, vetrin presents, likely won’t command a multi-year deal...
How much do you think Mike Trout gets in free agency? Maybe something like 5 years 180 million? He's a bit better than Springer so he'll definitely cost more than him I think
