  1. Fun fact: all 3 ALDS games so far have been won by 5 runs
  2. So true. You’d have less “banker bro” types at the games but you’d get all the locals from Mississauga/Brampton and probably more regulars from places like Oakville, Barrie, Burlington, Hamilton, etc.
  3. I don’t think they deserve anything. Look at the Marlins and their attendance. Better location won’t fix the attendance problem. Its a convenient excuse Tampa fans like to use. I hope they get a new stadium though. The quicker they get a new stadium, the quicker they’ll realize attendance is still a problem and the team will get relocated.
  4. Difference is we traded Stro during a rebuild phase, Tampa trades good/star players while they’re competitive.
  5. Ooof that’s an awful play by Garcia
  6. Love the live fielder position tracker in the top right of the screen they bring up occasionally.
  7. I am now. This game is much better than game 1 for sure
  8. Lowe is a great player, hope they hold onto him. I liked the trade for Cruz
  9. Because they lack star power/franchise players? I mean yeah right now they have Franco, but they likely trade him in a few years. - Traded Snell - Traded Archer (good trade but still) - Traded Longo The only guy they’ve really held onto is... Keirmaeir, and he’s far from being a “star”
  10. Hey mods maybe change the titles for all the GDT threads to “series” instead of game 1-2-3 etc?
  11. Lol Randy. And then the almost dropped popup to shallow RF. Trop is a nightmare
  12. What the hell is up with this Astros lineup?? Why are Correa and Tucker hitting 6/7 while Bregman hits 3rd?? Dusty bro
  13. Definitely true
  14. I guess in my mind, when you see a playoff game you want to see NAMES. Like, big name players battling it out. Look at the Wildcard pitching matchups. Look at the guys the other playoff teams are starting. Baz is obviously a super intriguing prospect, but im confused as to how he is their best option to go in game 2. I can't really articulate exactly why it makes me angry, and if you disagree with my viewpoint then thats fine. I just don't understand how they won 100 games but they're starting a guy they called up 2 weeks ago in a playoff game when they had lots of time to rest guys and play good matchups.
  15. This is why the Rays are a horseshit franchise. Win 100 games and who gets the start in game 2? A rookie with 13 innings pitched in the major leagues. Ridiculous.
  16. I’d say he got somewhat better. Still bad though. The bad - still kept playing Reese instead of Kirk - pinch hitting Valera all the time - using high-leverage arms when the game was lopsided - barely used Romano when we still had guys like Hand and Soria Things he DID do better towards the end (September) were - less bunting (no bunting??) - leaning harder on Romano - pinch hitting earlier in games - defensive replacements
  17. Sweet. Definitely didn’t want to see the Dodgers get knocked out. Matchup against the Giants should be electric
  18. Ok forget Story, the point still stands
  19. Seager is not even close to these sliders
