    I just don't know what scenario this would ever happen in. If Varsho is able to get to 2nd, it would be a good enough hit that Kirk would go 1st to 3rd unless he totally misreads the ball. If Varsho is scoring from 1st, Kirk definitely has enough time to score from 2nd. The only scenarios where his speed would be suppressed is on potential 1st to 3rd scenarios with Kirk on 2nd and they hold Kirk at 3rd. Or tagging up on flyballs and advancing a base. I don't think it will come up very often. More important IMO to have guys like Kirk/Belt on base for a Varsho homerun like Laika mentioned

    Fully down for this except for the fact Vlad seems to like hitting 3rd better. Fine. Just swap him with Bo or Kirk and that’s a perfect lineup

    I don't think this really matters much. Not as much as giving the best hitters more at bats. Kirk/Springer/Vlad/Bichette should all be in the top 4. The rest can be tinkered with since Varsho/Chapman/Belt all have similar projections. If Belt rebounds to his 2020/2021 numbers then he gets to hit somewhere in the top 4.

    I'd personally like to see Kirk hitting either 2nd or 4th with Bichette in the other spot. 1. Springer 2. Kirk 3. Guerrero 4. Bichette 5. Belt/Varsho 6. Chapman 7. Belt/Varsho 8. Merrifield 9. Keirmaier

    Kirk doesn't get nearly enough respect. Almost every mock lineup I see have Varsho and/or Chapman hitting ahead of him. People are also being a bit bullish on Varsho wanting him in the top half of the lineup. I think he fits better as the 6/7 hitter.

    Yeah we also just got rid of our consensus top 3 prospect (#1 on some lists). Barreira probably shoots up in the rankings this season. Also how does someone like Barger, with his stellar Milb numbers and generous major-league projections get placed outside the top 100? Just because he's not a big name?

Looks like the walls are much higher now and we kinda have a LF porch like the Yanks that is fairly short in the power alley

    I don’t recall seeing them do this previously though. Maybe they did, idk. But it happened on more than one occasion vs I never saw it before.

    I also know towards the end of the year they weren’t even popping fresh popcorn anymore. They refilled the machines with already-popped stuff from big plastic bags. Not sure wtf was going ok with the food situation late season

    Petco is legit. I remember they had a whole bbq pit area doing brisket and ribs. And the beer selection was nice. Also got some cool customized ice cream sandwiches. RC had better food selections before covid for sure, last year was kinda crap. My dad got those burger lattice fries with mac sauce and they were decent but for some reason as the year went on they disappeared and the food selection got worse by September/October. Cleveland had some great food when we wnet there in like 2017, so here’s hoping Shapiro can improve the stuff here soon. Aramark needs to go

    April 1st. He’ll get announced into the game in the 7th inning, with the Cubs losing 7-2. As he warms up on the mound, he feels a pinch in his shoulder. Catcher knows something’s up. Pitching coach and trainer meet him on the mound. He makes the slow walk back to the dugout without actually getting to face any batters. April fools, can’t believe you guys thought Merryweather was actually going to pitch this season!
