  1. I have a soft spot for the Rangers, because that 2011 World Series is really what cemented my love for baseball and they came oh so close. Definitely prefer Texas over Houston, Yanks, Baltimore, Arizona, etc.
  2. Yes exactly. None of us liked the version of the Jays team we got this year but we knew that if a couple bats got hot come playoff time, the solid pitching would make them a tough team to beat. I would never have bet on the Jays to get any further than Minny, but obviously I would have been happy if they got hot and lucked their way through.
  3. Yup those contracts/signings looked terribly stupid at the time, but hey if it works it works
  4. Aaaaand he did.
  5. Rangers need someone like Semien or Lowe to step up if they want to win this
  6. Big blow, damn
  7. Yeah didn’t look good. MAYBE comes back for like game 6 or something?? But his power will likely be sapped
  8. Bah god that’s Marcus Stroman’s music
  9. Which league did Connor win??
  10. Soto + Cronenworth would honestly probably be worth it for the Jays. 2 lefties you can slot in to play everyday at 2 positions of need. Lets you feel more comfortable about giving 3B to a rookie like Schneider or Barger. Would really hamstring us with financial flexibility but f*** it, probably trading Vlad and Bo next offseason anyways if we still don’t make a deep run
  11. For 1 year?? Not sure about that… maybe something like Tieds + Orelvis but I can’t see the Pads getting more than 1 top 30ish prospect + 1 fringe top 100 prospect.
  12. Whaaaat. Seems like a great dude. Hard not to like him
  13. Game 1 was very good, game 2 kinda meh. Game 3 was another close one which was nice but Arizona was missing that big hit to make things interesting.
  14. There it is folks. The issue all along has been the silent assassin, Don Mattingly. Funny enough, I was watching some replays of Varsho from last season and his batting stance is entirely different. Almost looked like a different player. His stance 2022 looked more like Matt Olson, more upright with the hands held out over the plate.
  15. I didn’t think it was that late… plus Walker got a very bad break off the bat. He should’ve been held especially with 0 outs. Felt like he was trying to make up for the fact he could’ve had a triple on his hit if he had run harder out of the box. Shades of Vlad for sure
  16. Clutch DP by Seager
  17. Has anyone denied that?
  18. Yes of course genetics plays a big part but steroids also do. Average dude on juice could probably beat Arnold’s best possible natty physique. With the same dedication/routine of course, that’s a another big part of the equation.
  19. Can you please define the word fantasy for me?
  20. Yeah that’s because you don’t understand how it works lol
  21. Missing a very important ingredient from Arnold’s routine
  22. Isn’t that exactly why we signed guys like Springer and Belt? Guys that have been there before, they’ve been super clutch bats in the playoffs. Just not with the Jays.
  23. Lol of course both RBIs in the game are from Moreno and Gurriel
