  1. Honestly yeah lol. GG just means more for Arb raise
  2. Without looking, Kwan probably has more games/innings in LF and that’s why the voters chose him. Guys that split time between 2 positions (even being elite at both…) are often skipped over
  3. Nah Kwan is clearly better /s Voters hate anyone that splits time between multiple positions
  4. Niiice. Vlad projection is still pretty lofty. Varsho projected to be the 3rd highest in WAR behind Vlad and Bo. They also think Kirk and Springer bounce back. Lineup could look a lot better next year with a little regression to the mean (or progression if you will) and a couple shrewd additions.
  5. Totally agree. If guys like Springer, Kirk, Vlad, etc don’t bounce back then we’re screwed anyways
  6. Example, just look at Kirk’s rookie season and at Moreno’s rookie season. One dude was clearly better. We’ll have to see what happens with Kirk going forward, but even if you think the weight will affect his longevity past 30 that doesn’t really matter for the Jays.
  7. Not true at all, I get ads for things I never search. Currently getting bestbuy christmas tree ads…
  8. Justin Turner declined his option with the Redsox. He could be a decent target
  9. Yeah f***ing stupid. Glad my folks have Bell fibe or I would’ve been struggling to watch
  10. Not worst ever, that was probably the 2012 sweep of the Tigers. Pitiful effort. This one kinda sucked but not more than several others. Both CS series went 7 games though so its hard to complain
  11. Jim go accept the trade in BORED
  12. Haven’t they been floating the idea of losing the DH once you pull your starter?? That could work and add a lot of strategy. Also makes the traditional starter that can go 6-7 innings much more valuable.
  13. Idk what you’re talking about, we basically weathered a similar storm. Bo and Belt, our 2 best bats missed significant time near the end of the season. Chapman too. And guys like Clement, Schneider, Horwitz stepped up in a big way. We also lost our starting catcher who was hitting very well. On the starting side, we remained healthy but one of our best guys from last year was basically a useless sack of s*** so might as well have been injured. Rangers barely made the playoffs, and so did we. They got hot when it mattered and we didn’t.
  14. Seager gonna win anyways, so the SS nominees are moot. Yeah what a monster season by JP, good for him
  15. Boss move would be to go back into retirement immediately haha
  16. If the Dbacks had some more elite bats like Semien and Seager then they could’ve won this. Instead they have a bunch of scrubs like Carroll and Walker
  17. Its funny because of the 2010, 2011, 2023 Rangers WS teams, this is probably the weakest. But they get it done. Phils/Rangers would have been a much better series. Dbacks overrated af
  18. Ooof thats a huge error by Thomas. But the 2nd run was probably enough. Sewald been pretty s*** this series GG Dbacks.
  19. That was a fair comment at the time
  20. If he got better interest rates for investments vs the loan then yeah it just makes more sense to take a loan. Ez money. Doesn’t necessarily mean the team is hurting for cash.
  21. This is peak Blue Jays baseball
  22. Dbacks lookin like the Jays tonight
  23. Another late home opener, presumably because of the renovations. Merp
  24. Front office has a pretty good track record of selling high. Did it with Martin, Groshans, etc. Possibly Moreno too, we’ll see. The playoffs are not really swaying my opinion of his season stats, which were ok for a rookie but not amazing. Time will tell
  25. Yeah if it was first round, or even WS game 1 it definitely would have hurt them substantially. Definitely helps that they had a 2-1 series lead already. Kinda feels like Texas will finish the job tonight
