    Im kinda turning on to the idea that big bat/mediocre pitching teams are far more favorable in the playoffs compared to good pitching/D teams. You look at the teams that won from the last few seasons and its all heavy slugging teams that had a few good pitchers. Really you need like 2-3 guys to go on homerun heaters during the playoffs, and the more of those you have in the lineup that are capable of something like that, the more likely it happens.

    Isn’t that just it though? Varsho SHOULD be a much better bat than KK. Just didn’t happen this year. He has way more HR power than KK, which as we have all seen is the difference maker in the playoffs. If he doesn’t rebound with the bat next year then yeah this trade starts looking awful

    Yeah shortening the season is the best scenario but like you said, extremely unlikely to happen. Probably all the cheapass owners with no intention of competing would be against it. I could see some owners being FOR the idea, more money after all if you get more playoff games. But thats an IF vs what they already have guaranteed with 162

    This seems crazy. Team wasn’t expected to do s*** and instead actually managed to make the postseason. She at least deserves another shot to add to the team next year. Hope she wasn’t fired or haggled for a few extra dollars
