    Haven’t they been floating the idea of losing the DH once you pull your starter?? That could work and add a lot of strategy. Also makes the traditional starter that can go 6-7 innings much more valuable.

    Idk what you’re talking about, we basically weathered a similar storm. Bo and Belt, our 2 best bats missed significant time near the end of the season. Chapman too. And guys like Clement, Schneider, Horwitz stepped up in a big way. We also lost our starting catcher who was hitting very well. On the starting side, we remained healthy but one of our best guys from last year was basically a useless sack of s*** so might as well have been injured. Rangers barely made the playoffs, and so did we. They got hot when it mattered and we didn’t.

    Seager gonna win anyways, so the SS nominees are moot. Yeah what a monster season by JP, good for him

    If the Dbacks had some more elite bats like Semien and Seager then they could’ve won this. Instead they have a bunch of scrubs like Carroll and Walker

    Its funny because of the 2010, 2011, 2023 Rangers WS teams, this is probably the weakest. But they get it done. Phils/Rangers would have been a much better series. Dbacks overrated af

    If he got better interest rates for investments vs the loan then yeah it just makes more sense to take a loan. Ez money. Doesn’t necessarily mean the team is hurting for cash.

    Front office has a pretty good track record of selling high. Did it with Martin, Groshans, etc. Possibly Moreno too, we’ll see. The playoffs are not really swaying my opinion of his season stats, which were ok for a rookie but not amazing. Time will tell

    Yeah if it was first round, or even WS game 1 it definitely would have hurt them substantially. Definitely helps that they had a 2-1 series lead already. Kinda feels like Texas will finish the job tonight

    I have a soft spot for the Rangers, because that 2011 World Series is really what cemented my love for baseball and they came oh so close. Definitely prefer Texas over Houston, Yanks, Baltimore, Arizona, etc.

    Yes exactly. None of us liked the version of the Jays team we got this year but we knew that if a couple bats got hot come playoff time, the solid pitching would make them a tough team to beat. I would never have bet on the Jays to get any further than Minny, but obviously I would have been happy if they got hot and lucked their way through.

    Soto + Cronenworth would honestly probably be worth it for the Jays. 2 lefties you can slot in to play everyday at 2 positions of need. Lets you feel more comfortable about giving 3B to a rookie like Schneider or Barger. Would really hamstring us with financial flexibility but f*** it, probably trading Vlad and Bo next offseason anyways if we still don’t make a deep run
