    Some simple s*** like this, the front office should know and relay to the players. Maybe Gausman knew but just missed his spots. Don’t throw him a fastball anywhere near the heart of the zone

    Well said. The front office definitely deserves criticism, but simply put this lineup should be hitting far better than they are. For some reason the Jays always seem to win the “on paper” discussion. The roster looks great on paper but they never meet expectations. Maybe that’s a failure on Atkins part for allowing a dogshit coach in staff to run the team.

    Who knows. People seem to forget Kirk also looked like a stud before this season began. Wonder what Kirk could’ve fetched. We’ll never know. It will be interesting to see who has the better bat going forward, Kirk or Moreno

    The Vladdy and Chapman flyballs are the story of the season. Our guys keep trying to go oppo but for some reason the power just isn’t there. They should have switched gears months ago when it was clear the oppo approach wasn’t working out, but the entire lineup has failed to make any adjustments or climb out of the hole they’re in.

    He’s easily the most dangerous guy in the lineup, so yeah i’d much rather walk him than give him a cookie down the middle

    They don’t seem to hit bad pitching particularly well either. The hitting approach has just not been good all year. Consistently get shut down by 5+ ERA starters The game was close, but that 8th inning is a great example of how bad the approach is at times. To let the Twins off the hook that easily that quickly was embarrassing.

    Gross. If the Jays lose im rooting for the Twins for the AL. I don’t harbor any resentment against them, they’re a good team and its been a while.

    I firmly believe he would’ve carried us through at least another couple rounds. When Teo goes on those heaters he’s one of the best power hitters in baseball. Can’t believe our pen was so dogshit they couldn’t hold a 7 run lead.

    At the very least, this was a very close and competitive game. Much more exciting to watch than the Castillo/Mariners game 1 last year.

    True. Wondering if the same thing happens with Tiedeman this offseason…. Gotta think Atkins is going all in. Lots of holes in the lineup to replace. The shine isn’t really there on Ricky T at the moment, but he’s the biggest trade chip we’ve got. Plus Orelvis maybe.

    They’ll have top 20 attendance for the first year and it will fall back to bottom 5 after that. Building a new stadium anywhere in Florida is a mistake.

    Trying to hit oppo more, losing power in the process and creating more flyball outs. Every hitter ever in history has more power to their pull side.

    xba is a flawed stat because it doesn’t take left/right direction into account. Jays have a major problem hitting everything to CF
