    At the time, our biggest specs were Pearson, Manoah, Groshans, SWR and Martin. Likely a couple of those guys plus some lower tier dudes, which at time included names like Kirk, Orelvis, Hiraldo, Moreno, and Kolffenstein.

    So Toronto struck out on (and came very close to acquiring) Lindor, JRam, Ohtani. Those are all pretty much confirmed now. Imagine the team outlook with one of those guys signed long-term. Sigh.

    Its funny that idiots like Jaysblue can’t acknowledge that: 1. Yes the trade was a good trade for the Jays 2. They probably should have signed Teo back on a multi-year deal this offseason The two points are not mutually exclusive and im not sure why people act like the trade has anything to do with 2024 Teo.

    Imagine how bad the Jays would’ve been though if they weren’t so LUCKY with the starters staying healthy. That would’ve counteracted any difference Teo would’ve made.

    In hindsight, Semien would have been an excellent guy to sign back and have him as the primary SS. Move Bo to 2nd. His contract was seen as a bit crazy at the time but so far he’s been worth every penny and likely already providing surplus value on the deal as a whole.

    Yeah this is where the 40 man roster reduction hurts the Braves. If this was a couple years ago the Mets would’ve thrown out a AAA lineup

    Will be interesting to see the attendance numbers next year. Have to think a lot of the attendance for this season was tickets sold in the offseason. I’d assume ticket sales drop dramatically this offseason unless they make a huge splash like Soto or something similar.

    I say f*** the Braves/Dodgers/Yankees/Orioles/Astros For obvious reasons. Phillies winning would be alright, they got oh so close a couple years back. Brewers would be cool. Padres I feel like deserve it. They’re a solid team and they just seem to fall short of expectations each year. Would be nice if they finally won after shedding payroll while staying competitive in what most thought would a a “down year”. Cleveland winning would be nice too, they also came super close a few years back. Tigers/Royals meh, feel like they’re the Dbacks of 2024.

    Green Swanson Romano Burr Little and Cabrera are maybes The rest are disposable. 2 decent/solid additions would be nice.
