  1. f*** Kirby Yates!!
  2. Randy had an abysmal start to the season, but he’s been hitting pretty well since June. Good deal for the Ms
  3. Thanks for proving my point about Vlad and the casuals
  4. Hell of an experiment though. Clearly he’s gassed now, but if they can build his innings more next year then he should be able to hit 160ish for the last 2 years of the deal. His numbers through his first 10 or so starts were great.
  5. Get rid of both and start fresh with 0 good prospects and a bunch of bad contracts Fun fun
  6. Riiight right and that’s why you hightailed it outta all leagues once you couldn’t cheat with 2 rosters anymore. Stop thinking you’re smarter than everyone else, you’re probably mid-tier intelligence at best on this message board.
  7. Merp. Fantastic start after that rocky first
  8. That would be awesome. Soto and Wood anchoring the middle of the order would be fun to watch.
  9. Yeah Soto is a better hitter than Vlad, can play an OF position, and has a WS ring where he contributed with numerous clutch hits. Vlad has 1 elite season, and a handful of good/ok seasons. With Vlad you’re really buying into the underlying metrics part and hoping he improves/rebounds. With Soto, you know you’re getting an elite player.
  10. True enough, but if we trade Vlad AND have a bad team you can guarantee attendance will immediately crater. IF you keep Vlad and try to hover 80ish wins most of the casuals don't understand the team is bad until August/September
  11. You think the average fan even knows what WAR is? Or knows how much WAR Vlad has? Or understands what the stat actually means? I’ve been saying for a while we should move on from Vlad but I don’t think the front office wants to. Or if they even have a choice in the matter. The team needs a face, and if Rogers wants that to be Vlad then he stays.
  12. You trade Vlad you immediately lose the interest of 5 million casual fans
  13. Mountcastle with 81 games a year at the dome is a perennial all-star. Get em Ross
  14. Best “the future looks bright” moment for me was that final series against Baltimore in 2021. Swept the f*** out of them, smashing homers, offense looking absolutely elite, and through sheer dumb ******** we managed to miss the playoffs by 1 game. What a nutshot that was, but at least we had the “wow these guys are going to continue to develop into stars” excuse. Now we have…. Nothing to be excited about
  15. He won’t lol
  16. Maybe. He still had a few good years in him though
  17. Yeah I don't think anyone here is debating what the best course of direction is. We are just discussing what we think is the realistic scenario of what will happen
  18. That's too steep. I could see Kikuchi for one of those guys but not both
