  1. Could definitely see it. We're gonna be like the Rays without all the young exciting arms
  2. Adell woke up and decided he wants to play defense today… Poor Varsh lol
  3. I find it hilarious that some of these derps think Schneider decides who gets sent down and called up lol.
  4. Congratulations. Too bad nobody here gives a f*** because its some random league none of us are part of.
  5. Imagine having a great defensive OF on the bench, being up by 7 runs, your starting LF gets hit in the head, and you STILL don’t get him into the game. Absolutely lunacy by JS and he should have been fired on the spot after that loss.
  6. I don’t think he’s laughing about that trade at all. Even if Loperfido is a bust, the other 2 guys are still an overpay
  7. The fact that Soto has been able to sustain a .400+ OBP his entire career is kinda nuts. Slugging over .500 every year too minus 2022. He has the consistency card that Vlad severely lacks.
  8. Probably 50% Vlad lol
  9. Love to see this but f***ing annoyed it’s happening in a season that doesn’t matter. Praying Vlad looks like this for some duration next year
  10. If you keep repeating it every day Ross might hear you.
  11. Right? Last year this thread would have been the opposite. Funny how much people change their opinion after 4 months of new numbers.
  12. Gross
  13. Seems to me Teo could have been back with the Jays for about 3/40. He pretty much confirms the 3rd year would have had him signing with Boston.
  14. Right, this is all us speaking with hindsight now. At the time, I thought the trade was good. Its still fine I guess, just not what we were hoping for.
  15. Yeah that’s fair. Not a terrible a trade, but you have to think Moreno could have got us a better player, even if he was part of a bigger package. Varsho is not a difference-maker and we gave up 2 years of control. I think its clear the front office thought he’d be more of a 110ish wRC+ hitter.
  16. More than fair to start calling the trade a bust now. And I am a big Varsho fan, bought his jersey. He just isn't a good hitter. Trade made sense at the time, dealing from a position of strength to get a LHH OF which we desperately needed. They just went for the wrong guy IMO.
  17. Yeah he’s clearly not the hitter he showed in 2022. Frustrating as hell but at least he’s elite with the glove. Seeming more and more like Varsho is Kevin Pillar with a bit more pop. Frustrating trade in hindsight considering Kirk completely fell off a cliff too
  18. He’s definitely missed time in spring training and a few games here and there due to leg/knee issues. That’s a known fact. Not difficult to comprehend that it might get worse with age + playing on OF turf
  19. He covered 1B while Freeman was on family medical leave
  20. Fair enough, but baseball is undeniably a more analytically-driven sport and there’s likely way more guys talking in the players’ ears. End of the day we can only go off results, and results have not been good since Don Mattingly became involved with the coaching staff.
  21. Agree he looks like Derek Fisher. Hopefully we win the coinflip this time. End of the day, can’t complain about this return for 1/2 season of Kikuchi, plus the other 2 pieces we got
