    It really feels like Guerrero is a massive landmine. I can’t see him coming remotely close to living up to whatever contract he signs. Only way it makes sense is if he takes a 300mil deal, which seems extremely unlikely at this point unless he has a terrible 2025.

    Vlad might be the most overrated player of the past decade, and we have the pleasure of being the team with the most pressure to sign our homegrown hero to a massive deal. The outcome of this Vlad situation could be disastrous

    Hard to be upset with this deal. I think Kirk has pretty much shown what his floor looks like, if the bat rebounds just a bit then this is an excellent extension. At the very least he provides solid D and serviceable bat at the Catcher position

    If he’s “durable” but has a bunch of nagging injuries (wrist and knee) that keep him from playing at an elite level, how is that a good thing?

    Crazy how quickly he’s seemingly declined. After that collision with Bo in the playoffs his stats have taken an absolute nosedive

    No, as far as i know, there is no stadium deal in place and Fisher is still searching for public funding. If they broke ground on the new stadium TODAY, it wouldn't be ready in time for the 2028 season. Still a long road ahead before MLB baseball is played in Vegas, unless they take over the 51s stadium or something.

    I don’t think the team ever actually makes it to Vegas. And certainly not before 2029

    Personally my benchmark of a successful season for him is 100 innings. Plus availability during the playoffs. so lets say 15ish starts.

    Yeah i think we can expect Scherzer to be battling these types of nagging injuries all year long. He’s in his 40s, its not going to get better, it is what it is. He’s spent the last 2-3 years battling injuries like this. This is what the Jays signed up for. As long as we can avoid a major injury that keeps him out for months, we should consider that a success. When he’s on the field, he’s still a serviceable mid-rotation guy at worst.

    Demand for the Jays doesn’t usually settle in anyways until June/July when Hockey is done and the teens/college students are off for the summer. Obviously a year after missing the playoffs people wont be as excited for the start of the following season. I AM very interested to see how attendance looks during bad/down years though. I suspect it will be down from 2021-2023 numbers, but higher than the lean years were pre-Bo/Vlad

    Maybe the owners like him. Ever thought of that? While the on-field success has been less than expected, you cannot deny the long-term improvements made to the overall business (the park). The dome is the best its ever been with the recent renos, the theme/giveaway days are awesome, the new social spaces are great, the new seats are good, the food/menu items, activities for kids/casuals, everything is just so much better than it was under Beeston. Im assuming the new VIP/corporate spaces are sweet too, although I haven’t had the pleasure of being invited to any yet.

    Awesome, thanks! Yes, i am speaking more about the mobile sites. The ads are huge and extremely repetitive and takes a while to scroll through an entire thread of 50/50 user messages/ads

    Expect Scherzer to be batting injuries all year, like he has the past 2-3 seasons. That’s all im saying. If he gives us 100 innings I consider that a success

    Ok, so I felt this needed a thread because the ads are wild right now. Literally a huge box/banner ad in between every single message in a thread. I thought the ads were going to get LESS invasive here, or so we were told by Brock. Anything we can do about this??

    Also heard Santander talking about learning to go Oppo more from Vlad… What the f*** is up with this cancer in the organization? This mindset of hitting singles and going oppo. It’s clearly a problem

    Vlad is just a dumb player all-around. Still hasn’t learned to run the bases properly after all these years, and still thinks hitting oppo singles is a good strategy even though he possesses 40+ homer potential
