    The most excited I can ever remember being about an FA signing. Well, I guess Russell Martin was pretty exciting too.

    Seriously, if it comes out after the season that Vlad had some injury and requires surgery…. Just straight up gut the training staff and front office decision-makers. This team likely makes the playoffs just by putting Vlad on the DL for 3-4 months and acquiring a 1B at the trade deadline.

    The front office really doesn’t believe in slug over avg. Its been pretty clear these last few years. Bateman is exactly the type of player they covet.

    People like to say managers don’t matter, but plenty of times you see a mid-season firing and the team immediately plays better. Redsox this year, Phillies this year, Phillies 2022, etc

    Its just Schneider’s inability to pivot quickly enough. Did it all year with Hoffman, plenty of games it was clear he would blow and JS made a change way too late. Now he’s doing it with Soriano fairly consistently
