  1. Farewell start for Gausman. He’s had some really great starts in Fenway over the last couple seasons, lets hope he can end things with a strong showing.
  2. Sucks we’re wasting this dominant season from Cease
  3. The most extreme arm surgeries don’t take more than 6 months to fully heal for a position player. Not the same as a pitcher getting TJs and missing a year. He should be ready for spring assuming there are no complications.
  4. I thought about him, but he seems pretty toast, even the 15% of the time when he’s healthy Pass. Unless he comes cheap
  5. Friendly reminder that Kirk’s rookie season was nearly identical to Valenzuela’s, and he was 3 years younger If you can get a good controllable piece for BV you definitely consider it, good D catchers are a dime a dozen.
  6. Also was given direct orders to tank as hard as possible the rest of the way lol
  7. Agree if there’s ever a time to bench someone, its right there. Inexcusable for a guy getting paid like he is.
  8. Gonna finish 7th overall and end up picking 22 or something lol
  9. Can’t guarantee number 1 pick anymore. Its a lottery
  10. Well at least Little should have ample runway the rest of the season to figure things out and put together a decent stretch
  11. Quite a bit of money off the books this offseason, im confident the FO will be able to plug most holes. Although the biggest wildcard is our 37mil per season 1B, he needs to turn it around for us to have any kind of chance. Springer - 25mil Gausman - 22mil Bieber - 11mil Varsho - 11mil Garcia - 7.5mil Straw - 6mil Scherzer - 3mil Obviously gonna be some raises, but we will have lots of money to work with
  12. I guess that’s what happen in a year you expect to compete and every player ends up playing like s***. You end up being a seller with no good pieces lol. Just further proof of how s*** the team has played this year
  13. More important to maintain a good ERA for trade purposes at this point
  14. Im skeptical, I didn’t hear any boos when i was at the game Sunday
  15. This team still hasn’t woken up from WS game 7. Its still the same epidemic of a billion stranded baserunners each night
  16. People forget but Cecil getting hurt was huge. Also you’re forgetting, Dickey pitched game 4 of the ALCS and basically tanked it. That was the one they lost 14-5 or something
  17. Pitching matters. Also had s*** luck in the ALCS
  18. Gimenez has been putrid offensively for the 3rd year in a row now. I don’t think he’s ever sniffing his rookie numbers, the contract is terrible if he’s not at least giving us 90ish wRC+ 20 million a year for 2 WAR exclusively with the glove is laughable Hopefully FO doesn’t fall into the same trap trying to extend Varsho
  19. Yeah the difference is you weren’t a million-dollar plus athlete. Its not really comparable
  20. RIP dude, sorry. I had family tickets for past Sunday and was dreading going. Glad i didn’t purchase a ticket pack this year
  21. The bad D thing doesn’t even make sense. Its 90% the same guys from last year. Only diff being Oka for Bo.
