    You're one of the few people in the league who rightly see Rodon's upside and have repeatedly tried to buy in before he breaks out. Kudos. I don't really see Adam Jones/Carlos Gomez as a big enough upgrade on Jacoby Ellsbury to do that though.

    Rodon's 1st half BB rate was 5.56, 2nd half was 3.70. He had some early jitters and then really settled in and was a boss down the stretch. 2.1 WAR in 140 IP as a rookie starter is nothing to scoff at.

    I don't think Gordon fits BTS' needs at all. BTS is retooling on the fly and leaning young with an eye on sustainable competitiveness without selling out for the near future. Carlos Rodon would be a much more desirable asset for a team in his situation.

    Meh, he came up as a starter and pitched over 100 innings 3 times in his minor league career. Why should I be so concerned with a reliever who throws 85-90 IP per year rather than an ostensibly durable starter who throws 180-200 IP? The guy is built like a power forward. He is used exactly how an elite reliever should be used.
