    Why would you hand over the role to an impending FA anyway when Miller is fantastic and under contract? No need to do Chapman any favours.

    Also I think there's a strong possibility that Chapman might not be the closer when he returns. Andrew Miller currently has a negative FIP.

    Agreed. Leake is going to even out while Hellickson is just a run-of-the-mill gas can. I didn't want Hellickson, FS was cutting him so I asked to take him just cause the FA pool is super gross.

    Newcomb is a hot mess. Back to back seasons with 6+ BB/9. As an LOD owner, this pains me. It won't be too much longer til we write him off as a starter and pray for an Andrew Miller outcome.

    He's probably going to be like Gary Sanchez and Jesus Montero, intriguing power but dubious ability to stick behind the plate. Although at least Alfaro has a cannon arm. Personally I like Contreras a lot more but if "The Legend" can live up to his nickname then I'll definitely take it.

    I still like Tapia, he's just getting BABIPed right now. He's cut his K rate and doubled his BB rate, and hit .300 at every level. Probably a 15/25 guy at Coors.

    Nah, that's a ******** narrative that gets stuck on a lot of Rockies. First of all, spending half your time in the high altitude means you're at a physiological disadvantage when you have to play at sea level, because balls break more and carry less than you're used to. Also, the road stadiums in that division are predominantly pitchers' parks. If Arenado played for a different team in a different division, you'd probably see his splits normalize significantly and he probably wouldn't be that much worse overall than he is now.

    Bryce Harper, f***ing obviously. Corey Seager isn't quite on their level but he's close. Joc is a solid 8, I've never said he's the best.

    Harper has been in a brutal slump the last week, that's regression for ya. He's still beating Trout by wOBA and Yahoo rank tho, so maybe give it a few more days before you put on the full court press.
