  1. I have considered cutting Moya many times in LOD. He's sort of like Chris Carter, except he never walks. I don't think he'll ever hit MLB pitching well enough to justify being a regular, plus he won't get many ABs since the Tigers already have 2 full-time DHs.
  2. Would you be optimistic about the Jays if they were winning games with a bunch of fluky singles and passed balls? This team is playing absolutely fugly basketball and somehow managing to win despite it. It's cool if they advance, but there is nothing in the way they're playing that inspires and confidence that it can continue as the competition gets harder, especially now without (arguably) their best player.
  3. Some pitchers are two-way players in college, like Stroman. That doesn't change the fact that they aren't major league caliber hitters though, by and large.
  4. You're right, having a pitcher with zero career MiLB at bats trying to hit major league pitching is totally the same as shortstops and catchers with hundreds or thousands of MiLB at bats.
  5. Sorry, how is an automatic out more cerebral? I would rather watch a major league caliber hitter face a major league caliber pitcher. Watching a pitcher hit is no less ludicrous than watching a hitter pitch. Some can do it passably on occasion, but it's really just a weird sideshow.
  6. Except for the fact that only one pitcher in baseball can really even hit at a remotely acceptable level. Other than that, no reasons. Oh, and more major league jobs for good hitters. And curbing the recent decline of run-scoring across baseball. And reducing injury risk to pitchers. Other than those, no reasons.
  7. In fact Corey isn't even his name, it's McKenzie. MackDick.
  8. Scherzer is a stud, meanwhile Corey Dickerson is god awful.
  9. At least Lowry stopped sucking major balls, so that's nice. This team still has no chance against the Cavs, though, let alone the Warriors. Still, making it to a Conference Final would be tits.
  10. Jaime Garcia 2015+2016 175 IP, 2.47/2.90/3.23, 60.9% GB, 3.2 K/BB He's pretty much Dallas Keuchel in the NL, minus the durability.
  11. If you beat a dead joke hard enough, it comes back to life.
  12. Why would I? He'll be back as a Top 25 player by September. I need a long-term CF. Although, that said, I did offer him up for Joc Pederson this weekend en route to a swift rejection.
  13. It's not as funny now that I'm a Pollock owner.
  14. Appel shouldn't be owned in a 240 prospect dynasty league, so I'm guessing BTS.
  15. That probably means your ROS schedule is a cookie. Come out of that stretch with your head above water and you're golden.
  16. 2Pat scores on his own net... this just gets better and better.
  17. Derozan looks so checked out. He just has nothing right now.
  18. It has to be Joseph, or at least Ross.
  19. Can this team win again despite itself? Perfect set up to run a bread and butter play and get a goddamn decent shot to win it. f***.
  20. DeRozan just drop kicked the ball into Dragic's face... good lord get him out.
  21. Lol Ross carrying this team to the ECF right now.
  22. Credit to T Ross for being able to knock down a f***ing shot when it matters... DeRozan.
  23. If there's one positive to take away from how terrible DD has been, it's that at least it's becoming more likely that we won't give him a max contract.
  24. The Cavs are easily going to sweep whoever advances, that's the reality we're looking at.
