  1. Yeah, no, it is different. He earned that attention all by himself with a long history of well-written, intelligent opinions.
  2. Gibby's comment was pretty weak. I mean it didn't personally offend me, but it was clearly sexist. It's not something a public figure should say. It's not even something anyone should say in a professional setting. If one of my coworkers said that in a team meeting, it definitely would not fly.
  3. How is Stoeten a SJW? You guys are seriously overusing that acronym. Him calling ******** on the countless ******** baseball narratives and pouring cold water on the premature doomsayers does not make him a SJW. Christ. He's one of the ONLY good Toronto based writers who actually knows a goddamn thing about real baseball, and one of the others, John Lott, now writes for that blog too. It is the singular best place for honest, unbiased, and intelligent Jays journalism on the internet.
  4. He's a shock jock who got fired from Edge 102 for being a bigot and then after several years of being unemployable on Canadian radio, somehow landed a gig at 590, despite a very cursory knowledge of sports. He's like Bob McCown with fart jokes.
  5. No, because Stoeten actually knows what the f*** he's talking about and is a gifted writer. Their only commonality is smugness.
  6. You don't need pictures to tell you his elbow is f***ed, he's been shooting like a d-leaguer for the entire playoffs. That is pretty gross, though, hopefully they drained it yesterday.
  7. What did I ever do to you?! Besides repeatedly point out how you've never made the playoffs.
  8. I've never not won my division, so I'm not too worried at this juncture.
  9. In-season H2H record is the tiebreaker for playoff matchups. You never know!
  10. I really appreciate him carpet bombing SG's ratios in this critical matchup. 7 walks between him and Nicasio today, I'm super into it.
  11. Always wise to bet on the 99th percentile outcome.
  12. Anybody want a Ben Revere? I have 3 of them.
  13. I hedged by drafting him in TAC as well, so it's not all roses for me.
  14. TBH he could be an attractive value target for the Jays next year if JB and EE walk.
  15. He was left for dead in BORED, drafted at 345 behind such fantasy stalwarts as Jedd Gyorko, Cliff Lee, and Didi Gregorius.
  16. Yeah, it's a fantasy wet dream. At this point I think he'd have to get hurt to fall short of 40 HR. Career year in the making.
  17. He's cut his K rate by 4%, which for him could be the difference between hitting .200 and .240. Apparently he's changed his approach to drive the ball to center rather than being pull-happy.
  18. If he could just keep it at this level and become the next Chris Davis, that would be pretty cool.
  19. CCC is a must-start right now, he's gone completely nuclear.
  20. OH GOD YES Whiteside out for the series, plz
  21. This league drives the perceived value of assets across all leagues on this message board. That's why I play the propaganda game.
  22. Hey spittin, can you process the Raimel Tapia for 6th rounder portion of our trade?
