  1. I didn't think missing the opener was an option??? Record it like I have to at worst.
  2. I hate how it's on at 1:00 PST. Recording it and turning into a hermit at work. All electrical devices off. Opening day! Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.
  3. Don't like to brag, but if I recall correctly I led the forum league last year
  4. I just looked up his age, for some reason I thought he was in his 70's, but he's only 57...I honestly thought he might be going senile.
  5. So HAPPy about this!! Love McGowan, makes me feel good about our rotation. Wish I lived in TO for that home opener.
  6. Macier is cut or traded (with jays paying salary) in the next week. Rogers or Redmond are traded in the next week in a bigger deal involving a 2nd basemen. Goins is sent to AAA to play short again for when Reyes goes down. JP arencebia plays max of 30 games this year in majors. Morrow is absolute garbage while McGowan and hutch are our best starters. Sanchez season pushes him into a top 10 prospect rating while syndergard requires shoulder surgery. AA is praised by US media for standing pat as jays make the playoffs...despite 2 small deals about to happen at end of spring.
  7. I'm a homer, no doubt. Every year I feel we got a shot, and in baseball every team for the most part does. I like our chances this year as much as last, and last year I was confident the drought would end. March 31st. Can't f***in wait!!!
  8. I think it's our year to get lucky with injuries. I almost fell off of AA's jock last week but I'm right back on riding away like a whore. This is our year, time to get excited. McGowan is getting me hard, I'll take him over JJ any day. I'm popping wood over hutch daily. Dickey's makin my dicky move. The offence is solid! Baseball in just over a week! I'm pumped, sick of the pessimism. Standing pat is going to be the story of the year.
  9. If McGowan makes the rotation and pitches well, and morrow pitches like he did a few years ago, and hutch pitches like he did before the injury...I might just have to get excited about this team again. Lots of if's but possible. Maybe I won't have to jump ship on AA just yet. Plus we'll have stroman and Sanchez knocking on the door, with Happ, and Redmond, and Rogers as depth which is pretty decent for #'s 6-8.
  10. I think some of you are talking about American Hustle and some about trouble with curve...I think, or maybe not. Your confusing the hell out of me.
  11. I also loved Shawn green, until he bolted for the money which made me hate him....even though everyone bolts for the money. I think he just broke my heart so I chose to hate him. I don't understand how people can hate joe carter, I can see thinking he was bad and see how he can be annoying, but the home run has to erase some hate. One of the biggest home runs in baseball history!
  12. For me it is kevin millar and it's not even close. f***ing Hate him. 'Cowboy up' slogan with the Red Sox makes me want to strangle someone every time I hear it. Then he comes here, probably the only jay I cheered to fail.
  13. I feel no pity for these teams and their injuries. We've dealt with it for a few years, now it's there turn. Knock on wood.
  14. If janssen is our only injury this spring then spring is a success. He is one guy we can easily afford to lose. But we still got two weeks to go for injuries......
  15. I actually liked JP, until the last year or slightly longer...and this makes me feel like an idiot. What a horrendous player. The guy should learn to shut his mouth. I hope he gets sent to triple A.
  16. I'm 100% all aboard the Romero band wagon. Would love to see him walking off the mound like a bull dog again. Not crossing my fingers, but no way in hell am I cheering against that. Before he lost his mojo he was easy to route for. We need a surprise like him in order to compete this year. The old Ricky back would be huge!
  17. @JimBowdenESPNxm: Braves making legitimate run at Ervin Santana according to source
  18. 7 pages in this thread and not one pic of Lawries ex....damn't, I'll google it myself then.
  19. Sometimes I still believe what Blair says, at one point he was credible.
  20. Not a huge fan of Santana but on a 1 year deal this just restores faith in the ninja. I'd do a poll to get people on the record for if they like this or not, but there is no such thing as a bad 1 year deal so it's a waste of time. Now let's hope his elbow holds and he can pitch like last year and not the year before. Also, I'd go with Happ #5 for 4-5 starts and if he still sucks call up hutch. When Ervin or morrow go down it's stroman time.
  21. Hell yeah! The crime dog was one of my first truly favorite players, and I loved bell and Fernandez to. But man, Fred McGriff was the s***. I still remember a home run he hit that landed about 10 seats from me, wanted that ball so bad!
  22. This is certainly not the cardinals way, loup and Redmond should get it done.
