    He can stay for 1 year and about 16 mil. He can decline and become a free agent, the jays then get a draft pick in the 30 something range after he signs with his new team.

    Agree 110%, I just watched 4 of the most entertaining games in a long time, we're about to start Price in huge series TOMORROW...f*** next year. We got the off season to worry about that, for once we got real baseball to enjoy from an incredibly entertaining team. Playoffs!!!

    At this point I don't want anymore minor leaguers traded away, I want Rogers to take on salary. I know, won't happen though.

    Jays still after carrasco according to Stark... Hutch, Pompey, Alford, plus a pitching prospect. That could come back to haunt us.

    This is now the time for Rogers to man up and take on contracts without having to give up anymore prospects. Start with Shields, take his entire contract and give away nothing.

    With all the extra ticket sales in the last 2 days, maybe we can claim Shields on waivers in August and pick him up for 'just' his salary...if Rogers sees the value in extra ticket sales. I'm guessing TV numbers are up to, especially for Tulos first game.

    I love the trade, but I'm not a fan of Norris, I think Boyd sucks, and Labourt I've never seen. I'm also not a scout. I do know we just added Tulowitzki and Price and that's insanity!
