    Probably several thousand 21 yr olds had sex with a 14 yr old in the USA last night. If Franco was not a MLB star, nothing happens to him. He apparently was well aware of the significant risk given his stature, and went down this road anyway. The DR special investigations unit tasked with dealing with child sex abuse was happy to make him their No. 1 target and further their objectives. Franco may or may not be a true pedo, but he deserves whatever is coming to him.

    This time last year there was a push to trade Berrios for something. Manoah was worse but offset by the control. In the end I think Manoah gets traded for the best deal available (kinda like the Moreno trade last year) because the FO / Manoah relationship is toxic.

    Probably what does happen. I'd rather see him expend those 80 IP or most of it with the Jays, myself.

    Total of 60 IP for Tiedemann in 2023, 42 in MiLB and 18 in AFL. That's after 78.2 IP in 2022. He's MLB ready, so what do you do with him?

    Lazy comparison, Manoah 2023 FIP was 6.01, Berrios in 2022 was 4.55. Manoah was a whole other level of bad. Manoah WILL make a comeback, but it's rather hazy what he will be.

    It's possible the Jays have worked out that Chapman is not coming back. For example he could have a standing offer for more than what Toronto is willing to pay. At some point you need to start making moves, even if less than ideal, otherwise you get left emptyhanded. Not saying this deal is less than ideal, I like it.
