    Bill James is not wrong. To any casual observer, no difference. For decades some of the best players in the world were banned from playing MLB. Made no difference. And actually, if only US and Cdn born players were allowed to play MLB (sorry, Ang), attendance and ratings would be the same, or maybe higher taking into account certain mindsets.

    Hard to see Shatkins trading Stroman when his value is at a low point. But if the relationship is on the rocks, its a different story.

    Trouble with the opener IMO is you are relying on two guys to bring their good stuff into the game, whereas with the traditional starter approach you are relying on one. A fair bit more risk of a pitcher getting hammered with the opener approach.
